That sounds about right. Hyper long/athletic SF who doesn't shoot well but his shot isn't broken. He just shoots it on the way down. A good shooting coach can work with that. I like that he irritates Hardin.
Well considering how we used to poke fun at Brewer for being absolutely horrible from the perimeter, things changed when he went to Houston. I wonder if that would change for this kid?
No man. Brewer went to a new team and went from a shitty shooter to one you don't leave open. That probably has more to do with the shooting coaches in Houston. We have some good shooting coaches in Portland. Could our staff change aminu into a half way decent shooter?
Nigerian, Fernando Adi just scored two goals to lead the Timbers this season and best Seattle just now, but wouldn't expect you know anything about that.
That should get NeO GMoY honors if that happens. If it did, the window would seem to be open for quite a while.
The window may seem open, but it also me be a mirage. Just cause a young team wins 50+ games, doesn't mean they have a real chance at ever winning anything in the playoffs
True but I'd rather have a young team at 50 than not. It gives them a chance to get playoff experience and learn. Usually you have to go through playoff initiation in the Finals to win a title. The Warriors were the rare exception.
With the way he played in the playoffs, I think we are gonna be looking more towards the 6-7 million range. He went bonkers and we all know that one good playoff series has got plenty of people P A I D. Hope it's not a complete aberration.
Exactly. He went nuts in the playoffs. Shot .548 from the field and .636 from '3' to go with 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.6 blocks in 30 minutes. Obviously that is a very small sample size but it shows at least a bit what he is capable of.
These are my thoughts exactly. Anyone who was happy with the selection of Jefferson should be similarly happy with the notion of Aminu.
Sure, but one was a million per year. If aminu gets $7 million per year, if he stays a defender with a broken jump shot, people should be less happy. In that case, if you could get dunleavy for $3 million or so, you'd rather do that
