Yay for crazy hypothetical 4 team trades that actually make a shit ton of sense for everyone!! DENVER: In ($24M): Noah Vonleh, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Terry Rozier, Gerald Wallace, Kostas Papinikolou, Pablo Prigioni, POR 1st Round Pick, Two BOS 1st Round Picks Out ($32M) Galinari, Chandler, Lawson, Nelson HOUSTON: In ($21M): Ty Lawson, Gerald Henderson, Jameer Nelson Out($19M): Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Kostas Papinikolou, Pablo Prigioni, Trevor Ariza, Joey Dorsey BLAZERS: In ($14.5M): Wilson Chandler, Avery Bradley Out ($8.5M): Gerald Henderson, Noah Vonleh, 1st round pick BOSTON: In ($20M): Danilo Galinari, Trevor Ariza, Joey Dorsey Out ($18M): Gerald Wallace, Avery Bradley, Terry Rozier Boston keeps max cap room while getting 2 legit SFs, Get rid of Gerald Wallaces salary. If they add a max big they're contenders Denver gets 3 first round picks and 4 good young prospects under 22 Portland gets 2 really good defenders, a SG that can handle the ball and create, a SF that can slash, and keeps the cap space to sign Aldridge and a young max free agent (Greg Monroe) Houston gets their starting PG and depth behind him, as well as depth at the 2 and 3 in Henderson I live putting stuff like this together more than anyone. Tell me who this wouldn't be a great trade for
We can't trade out Henderson, Vonleh or Plumlee unless they are the only Blazer being traded away. That restriction ends August 25th. There are some good ideas in your trade proposal but it needs to be simplified. Boston acquiring Danilo and Ariza doesn't make sense but they'd have value to playoff teams.
Houston would want to keep Ariza otherwise it hurts their starting core at one position just as much as its helped at another. But they probably give up DMo for Lawson and I think Denver would be interested in that. I wouldn't want to give up Vonleh or a 1st round pick unless we get a quality starter. Chandler and Bradley are fine rotational guys but they're both inferior to Nic Batum so it makes no sense to give up a guy like Batum for Vonleh then trade Vonleh for someone worse.
we could, basically we can't combine the salaries as one aggregate salary to match a salary. Essentially we could trade Henderson ($6M) and Vonleh ($2.5) for someone thats being paid $7M, since Henderson would cover. Since they're going to separate teams, and we're using cap space to accept the trade, we could do it. Danilo and Ariza to Boston makes total sense. Let's say they get Kevin Love. Smart (30) / Thomas (30) Turner (20) / Hunter (16) Gallinari (28) / Ariza (20) Love (35) / Sullinger (20) Zeller (24) / Olynyk (17) That's a contender
Chandler is as good as Batum. He's more aggressive, a better defender, and a better slasher and scorer off the dribble drive. Bradley is a better defender then Wes, and shoots the ball near his level. And Bradley can handle the ball and allow Dame to play off-ball a little bit. Both those guys are at the same level as Batum if not better, they're cheaper, good defenders and fit well. For Houston, going from Ariza to Brewer is a wash. Henderson is the same type of player just a couple inches shorter. Lawson / Nelson Harden / Henderson Brewer / FA SF that can shoot (MLE) MontieJunas / Jones Howard / Capela That's a better lineup then last year
If LA heads elsewhere, Tiago Splitter and Jeff Green would be intriging assets for our team with $$ to spare.
Great haul for the big reset for Denver, but Boston essentially gives up 3 1st round draft picks and an excellent perimeter defender for an injury-prone Gallo and an ageing Ariza? I don't think so.
Joakim Noah if it gets LA to stay. His knee can give out after we get LA's name on that contract. Besides, his contract runs out next year, so it's not like we're stuck with him, and by that time Plumlee will be PRIMED TO DOMINATE!!!!
Okay, if we could get Noah for just cap space, I would jump on that as fast as Kingspeed having sex with NBA players.
Yeah I'd be very interested in Noah. Sure sounds like the Bull$ are very interested in dumping one of their bigs for just salary relief. Best part is we could put double Noah's on the court at once! If our doctors think Joakim's knee has a 50/50 chance of being good for the season I'd take the risk. If they think his knee looks destroyed like Brandon Roy's at the end then no we should try something different. His physical would be very important. As you said its only for one year. I think with a Spurs minute plan for him and no back to backs he might regain his form. It was just 13 months ago he was defensive player of the year.
Okay lets think about the pros and cons of Noah. Pros: 1.) Excellent passer: Probably the best big passer outside of Marc Gasol. 2.) Really good at setting picks: And his passing allows for great Hockey type assists to wide open players. 3.) Great one on one defender: Usually always assigned to the best post player. 4.) Great help defender, especially against the pick and roll. 5.) Great rebounder Cons: 1.) Big cap hit for this summer 2.) He's a fucking bitch 3.) Those knees though?!?! 4.) He's a really big fucking bitch
Where the fuck is @Denny Crane to tell us if Chicago's cheap ass owner will be open to a cap space trade for Noah?
I am down with Noah (maybe even over Hibbert as I think he could cost less) because even if he bombs then it is one year (just like Hibbert though I guess). The big question is does LMA see Noah as a good enough upgrade? I would hope so but you never know what that guy is thinking.
I've posted about this a few times. The Bulls are supposedly shopping Noah and Taj hard. I'd rather have Taj for the Blazers, of the two. His contract is really good, and he's a better two-way player all things considered.
