Well, he is definitely an upgrade over Lopez. And if there was a choice between Noah or Hibbert, I would jump on Noah first. He's a better player with a better risk/reward than Hibbert. I would think Chicago would rather us send him Pat with the trade at least.

I just don't think Taj would be the needle mover Aldridge would be after to keep him. If we lose Aldridge, I would be open to trading for Taj for cap space, but I wouldn't be happy about it.

I think LMA would love to play alongside Taj, but you'd be playing small ball (which is good).

My thoughts exactly. I probably like Taj more than Noah but I think it is opposite for LMA.

For how long of a stint can Taj play Center? He seems pretty short. Cus LMA doesn't like to except for the last 4 minutes of game.

    Against GSW? All game :)

Against Memphis, you'd play Plumlee and have Taj play C with the 2nd unit.

Not GS of the regular season when they actually like having Bogut play.

Taj can play against Bogut fine.

If you have Taj and LMA in the lineup, you'd have one or the other guard the opposing C or PF based upon which makes sense.

I still don't believe this would be something that pursued Aldridge to stay. I guess we could agree to disagree on this. I definitely could see Noah able to though,

I didn't know Taj was 30. That is no spring pup. He is the same age as Noah. So ya, with LMA I would take him (if LMA says that works for him) but now I change my mind and wouldn't take him if he was replacing LMA unless we got him dirt cheap and the offer was just too good to pass up.

It's kind of funny but Taj Gibson is actually a month OLDER than LA and just 4 months younger than Noah.

(Edit: KeepOnRolling got there first, damn my slow googling.)

He's still a lot younger than Kaman, I'd trade Kaman for Gibson and call it a done deal

I'd rather have Taj over Joakim in a vacuum but assume Aldridge would want more of a pure center. I suppose if Aldridge leaves Taj would be an interesting choice. Unlikely we can really contend for a title with him at PF though. Then you wonder why acquire a 30 year old if we can't contend.

    I say:
    1. Acquire Noah and Gallinari for cap space/Henderson + Kaman's unguaranteed contract
    2. This is used to persuade LA to give us a year, so he signs a "LeBron contract" - i.e., 2 year guaranteed with second year player's option
    3. All three people are then FA's again next year and we can do it again with a bigger cap!

It's all about the short term, baby!

part of that is so that they can get rid of Gerald Wallaces stupid contract, and they have so many 1st round picks that I think they'd do it to get two good SFs while keeping their max space.

I still can't believe Wallace is getting paid.

    There are 3 Noahs:
    Healthy Noah
    Slowed by injury Noah
Can't play because of injury Noah.

Sure, I'd LOVE the 1st one cheap, but I'd rather have RoLo than the 2nd one. I want no part of the 3rd one. I'm not sure which one we'd be getting.

I know this is an over-simplification but would you rather have a Rolo or a slowed Noah or can't play due to injury Noah and LMA? Rolo played really well the previous season and I think LMA should think of him more highly then he does but I don't think that is reality. Noah (imo) is someone that LMA would commit to.

If the Bulls want Noah gone, I'd pay attention..there's a reason.. No meniscus left..sound familiar? We could be getting the Timberwolves version of BRoy
