LA and his agent are meeting Duncan in So Cal. For Duncan to met him there prooves he wants to play another year and give LA keys to the kingdom. LA may enjoy playing for Popovich and that may be the tantalizer.

Hopefully LMA will see that Pops is almost as old as Duncan and can't be relied upon for the rest of LMAs career.

    Here is what is happening.

    1. Aldridge has truly told Olshey that he is gone and hence our focus has shifted away from him.

    Or

    2. Aldridge wants to see what Olshey can bring in to POR before rejecting us.

If Neil can pull a trade or get a major FA to commit before Aldridge makes his decision, we might still be able to keep him. If not, he's gone. I think this rules out RFAs

@JakeLFischer: With conflicting reports suggesting where LaMarcus Aldridge is leaning, what league executives do mostly agree on: LMA's done in Portland.

I think Plumlee is going to be great.

    Perfect fit.

I don't know. Maybe ask the other 29 teams that would offer him max.

It's pretty easy to fit when you only have three players.

Coming out of college, as Tom Penn pointed out, Lillard was an elite p&r point guard.

He has never had a decent p&r target.

Lopez was slow motion and Stotts rarely called for that play.

    Aldridge p&p's or ISO's.

I love what LA has done for us but I almost agree with sinobas. it's not that LA isn't good, but the rest of our team are jump shooters and when our best player is a jump shooting pf, that's a little tough to get far in the playoffs I think.

I'm honestly excited to see what NO does if LA leaves, I think this will be his time to shine so it'll make him or break him. LA is a great player no doubt, but I also liked having pf's that bang that weren't out of control or black holes (trobb and jj almost had me convinced.)

The jump shots are not of his choice bro. If you tear apart the offense in the last 3 years, we didn't have a single player, other than Lillard, with the ability to score inside or slash. It's very easy for teams to take everyone out and give Aldridge the worst possible shot.

Aldridge is the only player you can truly ISO, so when teams trap Lillard, it's either a contested three or give it to Aldridge with no time left on the clock. If we had a couple slashers or players we could ISO other than Aldridge, I bet Stotts would call for Aldridge down low.

agree, he signs a 5 yr now or let him go, a team is stupid and will regret paying him the Max next year
