New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told donors and allies he’s running for president during a Tuesday morning conference call, campaign officials confirmed to msnbc. The call was first reported by The Associated Press. Christie told supporters he was humbled to be able to return to Livingston High School, where he served as class president as a teen, to announce a bid for president of the United States.
