The biggest thing that worries me is the loss of his teammates. With the turnover in roster moving to the younger side and LMA getting older, I think it makes it easier to leave his teammates. Mostly because for the most part they will also be gone. For us to get better we need to make those changes, and I bet LMA understands that, but none the less the comfort level that we might have had is no longer a benefit.

I did. Look back before he was traded and see my comments. I said we needed to trade him to make a big splash in free agency. Will you bow down and beg for mercy if you make me find them?

He also traded away our only SF for what's essentially a lottery pick.

Which leads me to believe one of the free agents he's seeking will be a SF. And he also shed 3 mil in salary and Henderson

Aldridge knows what he has in Olshey. There's no "maybe" about it.

What Aldridge doesn't have is a team in Portland that's ready to contend for a championship, and that's why he'll end up in SA.

Actually no. He knows what Olshey wants to do and it's entirely different to get them. If every works according to plan, I expect Aldridge to sign

I can see him saying something like "man we need to team up next year instead of beating up on each other".

But for him to specifically say ......."in San Antonio" is a little absurd to believe.

None of which will be as good as the one we just traded away.
To say that it's clear that we're not rebuilding is just as foolish as saying there's no way LMA leaves. The moves we've made lean more towards "rebuild" than "contend NOW", but we could go in EITHER direction depending on the decisions of various free agents and other GMs.

You're just guessing though. You're no more correct than the guy that says we shed batum because we are rebuilding and we would've lost him in FA next summer anyways.

How do you know what the plan is?? Assumptions and wishes don't equal facts. Let's wait and see what happens.

Lmao! Dude Batum is the most overrated SF in the league. The way he cashes in and coasts was a detriment to this team. That's why Blazers wanted to keep Aldridge and toss Batum to the curb. They knew Batum was trash

They're not. That's my point. You know about the plan about as much as chris Broussard. Which is zero. You're just on opposite ends.

I am on board with this way of thinking. Just smashing the tin foil hat mob and their doom and gloom scenario

My point exactly!!!! I would much rather look at it in a positive light than watch these emo fans think our world ended
