He's a 7'1" 280 pound lunker from Pittsburgh. He's big, strong, tough, slow, laterally slow, not really athletic, not very coordinated and isn't a big shotblocker. I think teams would be nuts to pick this guy in the top 10...maybe a team in desperate need of size...but overall as a pro-prospect I don't think very highly of him. It's another case of, if the guy was 6'11" he would not be as an attractive a prospect.

Yeah, but he can shoot really well, and can score. I think he has a chance to be a starting pf with a team that has a quick center. Maybe orlando or seattle or something like that.

Seattle doesn't have enough roster space for yet another post player.

Release 'em.

Release them? To bring in a 7 foot softie? He is as slow and sluggish as Big Z, but without the skill. I don't think he's very good to begin with, really. Top 20 pick maybe, but nowhere near where he is projected right now (lottery pick). But it baffles me that you actually think the Sonics should release their extremely young front court. They have drafted a center in the first round the last 3 years. Why would they release those young 7 footers, to bring in another one who is much softer and slower than any of their current bigs?

Aaron Gray isn't soft at all, he likes contact and was banging around in the Wisconsin/Pitt game. He's not soft.
