I'm so tired of "sources" man. I wonder if we actually will get decision tomorrow by Lamarcus

Well at this point I'm just hoping we are Monroe's 2nd choice after the Spurs. So many signs pointing to Aldridge leaving. I fear those of us hoping he stays are as delusional as Heat fans last year, Cavs fans in 2010 or Laker fans yesterday.

I think we are just holding on to a small bit of hope because of things he has said a year ago and the fact he is our franchise player. It sucks man. Shit hits home man

Its tough because he was the guy that got us through the Roy and Oden days. Now if he leaves, all 3 of their Blazer careers will end in heartbreak

I have to say Fuck the Spurs. They're getting all these players to take less money to stay with the team. Duncan for $5 million? He was an allstar defensive player of the year candidate. Green for a third less than an inferior Carroll? David West is now interested in playing there for the vet minimum? He opted out of a $12 million dollar deal. It makes a mockery of the salary cap and competitive balance in the league. I'm sure LeBron, Steph Curry, Durant, and Anothy Davis could all take the minimum and play on one team but what kind of a "championship" would they really have for doing that? Its not a fair sport if a bunch of the best players join forces on some superteam. If the Spurs were in LA or NY the rest of the league would be up in arms over them continually getting players to play for less.

If any player goes to San Antonio and wins a title he won't deserve more than a tiny share of the credit. Fuck San Antonio.

And you know what really makes me think? how true were those reports of LA being 99.9 percent gone? Portland hasn't been given a fair shot at all other than Woj in this race and he barely spoke on us having a chance. Just to not count us out. Makes me wonder if Olshey straight up lied and said that LMA said it was false just to do damage control so the fans wouldn't trip out as much. Not trying to be a downer guys but it's safe to assume he has gone and been gone for a while in his mind. If some crazy shit happens where all of a sudden he comes back than wow but I just don't see it. What's even worse is if LMA leaves and we don't get Monroe, that's a failure man. That is a new low. To lose your franchise player and then lose somebody to the Bucks?! damn man I am also afraid if LMA leaves we are overpaying somebody. Neil has a lot to answer if my assumptions are correct and if LA leaves, I wonder if he will say anything to the fans besides a simple "Thank you for the 9 years ripcity"

Exactly man when Roy and Oden went down and that went out the window, he blossomed. Then we got Damian and became great looking contenders a few years later. Wes goes down. That's what broke this core group this summer. That's what did it. It's crazy to think.

What I don't understand is why the owner signed him to an extension until he had a chance to define himself this summer.

I think Neil is a great actor and does a terrific job of dooping people.

I think Neil had every fan convinced he was staying after what he said at the conference. That guy is a good talker and is very reassuring. Not to forget he actually was an actor at one point so there's that

I for one, remain hopeful. Fat lady hasn't sung just yet - LMA is at least giving us the last opportunity to convince him to stay.

As for Olshey, even if LMA leaves I don't see ow we can pin that all on him. We don't know that if Aldridge has told him he is going, so as far as I'm concerned until proven otherwise we take him at his word. I'm sure he is trying to convince LMA to stay, but the final decision is all on LMA, he holds the cards.

If LMA leaves for nothing it will be disappointing. But you can't really begrudge him for leaving for SA can you? If he honestly believes that's his best chance at a ring, you can't begrudge a guy for having a crack at a career goal.

Well, actually, if jock riding is his career goal, then yes, we can begrudge him that.

Technically LMA is taking a huge paycut to go there too...

As a Lakers fan, this off-season has been another disappointment. But I laugh at the people upset with San Antonio because players are willing to take paycuts to play there.

I applaud San Antonio. They've created a legacy of winning there and players are willing to sacrifice to join it. Just because you're potentially losing your star PF to them doesn't make them evil. Criticize the players taking pay cuts to go there, not the well run championship organization.

If he was definitely leaving, why would he be meeting with the blazers? Are the reports wrong that he met/is meeting with us?

One last pitch/tell us his decision. I think LaMarcus has enough respect to at least let us know first. Although I can't see LaMarcus looking into Neil's and Paul's eyes and telling them he's leaving, he would probably just call.

Idk man just let it done already.

If this is true, then why would we want Aldridge? Dame getting the attention is because Dame earned it. If he is butt hurt, then it shows he doesn't have the mental capacity to lead the club anyway.

@Probballdraft: Going into Free Agency there were rumblings LaMarcus Aldridge might prefer a team he could go to that could be his own. Suns would be that.

I thought I read a tweet that Aldridge will meet with Portland last? Did I assume or is this true?

Yes. CBS sports had an article mentioning it. It will happen last after the NY and TOR meetings today.

    We will find out today.
