Some of you are very forgiving and that's cool and all but lets think about this. A guy just year ago claiming it just makes sense to stay and to have that 5 year deal here because "I wanna be the best Blazer ever". Now look at the show this "quiet" and "to himself" guy has put on. All Marc Gasol had to do was have one meeting. The diva over here who was only really truly linked to possibly signing with one other team besides Portland went all out with 7 teams. Teams who he absolutely didn't even need to meet with. Instead of just telling us all he is leaving, he dragged this out. Neils plan was to get Monroe and Aldridge together. Would of been great if Aldridge actually gave a fuck and helped out in the recruiting process and actually wanted to be apart of this team. Lamarcus left Olshey with no choice but to demolish this core because this was all based around HIS decision. We had to create a scenario where if he left we weren't completely fucked which we aren't but the future looks grim. An Aminu signing is all we have to brag about right now. I just can't believe we went from 50 win seasons to this. BLAZER fans don't deserve this. This is pathetic and an absolute embarrassment. I am actually glad Lamarcus is leaving. Don't want him back. Not after this show. Can't believe Olshey stuck his neck out for LA and this dude just straight canned us. LA was never committed to this team. Never cared. He sure is showing it right now. And still, Aldridge hasn't decided. It really sucks because this is backfiring on Olshey. We still have to make decisions as if Aldridge may stay, which actually hurts us more IMO. We need an answer now or we are fucked
What if he was forced to? I could see Allen making it clear to Olshey to do everything in his power to keep Aldridge.
I wonder what his words will be to all the Portland fans when he leaves. This decision has just made people dislike him more. We always knew it was the Spurs or the Blazers and we always knew it would most likely be the Spurs. We knew this before free agency even started. While the playoffs were going on for fucks sake.
One thing I've thought all along: If LaMarcus wants to WIN, and if he wanted to cement his Blazers legacy, he could have gone out and recruited someone like Monroe or whoever he thinks would put Portland over the top. But it does not appear he's done that, which makes it appear he never seriously intended to stay in the first place. Further, dragging this out, while potential 'running mates' are signed by other teams (i.e. Monroe to the Bucks; Hibbert to wherever), makes it that much less likely the Blazers can field a team that would entice him to stay in the first place. Now, if LaMarcus decides today to stick around, if he can get certain additions to the team, and he gets on the phone to Monroe or whoever, and we all vacation in Shangri La, then I guess we'll get over it.

What if plan A never was to get Monroe and aldridge together...Maybe plan A is Aldridge and Jordan or aldridge and Hibbert.
