It's kind of funny to be beaten to a free agent by The Milwaukee Bucks. Not Houston. Not Dallas. Not LA. Not Miami. Possibly the least glamorous franchise in the NBA. I guess... good for them? They've had a hell of a time. (Of course, I'm kind of relieved, because I didn't think Monroe was a good fit, but it is still a bit surprising.)
For all we know everyone walked out of the Blazers/Monroe meeting agreeing he wasn't a good fit in Portland too.
First of all not trade LMA when we had a chance, second cant even attract Monroe over freaking Milwaukee.. Just a garbage all around attempt
If Aldridge told him he would stay, why trade him Not Olshey's fault young black millionaires dont want to come to a city full of white people where there is nothing to do and it rains the entire time the season is going.
Monroe choosing Milwaukee over Portland tells me he believes (aka his agent believes) Aldridge is not coming back. To me this is the strongest evidence yet we've lost him.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...50-million-max-deal-with-bucks-153410068.html Had to be thinking LMA wouldn't be around if he thought we might only get 45-47 wins with him next year.
Maybe it's for the best. His first year, Neil's first move in FA was to go after Roy Hibbert. His second year, Neil's first move in FA was to go afterr Spencer Hawes. He didn't come, and he sucked and did not live up to his contract. Maybe it will happen again this year? #reaching sigh
Our current roster but with Monroe and Harris or insert guy here (we would still have cap space to do that second one) couldn't get 45 wins? I don't believe that. Of course without those two now we are lucky to get 30.
