help me fill it any blanks I'm missing. Also, who starts, 2nd and third sting? Likely targets for gaping holes? Which new players are you looking forward to most? Who do you think won't make opening day roster? Thoughts moving forward? Damian Lillard Tim Frazier Gerald Henderson C.J. McCollum Allen Crabbe Pat Connaughton Al-Farouq Aminu Alonzo Gee Dani Diez Ed Davis Meyers Leonard Noah Vonleh Mason Plumlee Chris Kaman
Well, the easiest to answer question is the "gaping hole". Same as last year I believe Lillard has a firm grasp on that.
And I'm not sure if Diez has anything either. Meaning, at SF, all we have right now is Aminu, a good backup.
Yeah I think Olshey is waiting to decide about whether to bring Diez over or not depending on who we can get...Gee is gone...Connaughton can play the 3 right?
True. But Crabbe could easily slide to SF. He has a huge wingspan. In fact, I think he's better as a SF because his handles and ability to create seems limited right now.
If we're rebuilding and okay with education over wins (I am, and I hope FO is too), then sure let's go for it!
Damian Lillard/CJ Gerald Henderson/CJ Al-Farouq Aminu/Crabbe Ed Davis/Meyers Leonard Mason Plumlee/Meyers Leonard 8-man rotation Probably will give spot minutes to 2 more guys: probably Frazier, Vonleh Out of Rotation: Connaughton, Kaman, Diez Of course, we have $$ to spend, probably on players that make the rotation
I really hope so. I think it's a matter if increasing his shooting percentages, especially behind the arc by a few points. If he can shoot 36% from the corner, I think all the other things he brings will become that much more useful.
I don't think Paul Allen would want a total rebuild, but I think Olshey could talk him into maybe a one-year dip into the lottery to collect more assets. Also, if we rebuild, Damian may want it to take too long either since he's about to enter some of his prime years.
And Crabbe is great at chasing around the speed demons, but not so good against big solid post up players or ISO guys. But Amino excels there, so it might be a good pairing.
The conspicuous hole at SF makes me think that Plan C is Durant next summer. Or starting Meyers at SF.
Agreed, it's hard to make comparisons, but two things Diez does translates well, rebound and shoot. Hopefully he is fast enough to get to his spots, he doesn't seem too quick. And I have no idea about his D at all.
