Actually, the 4.5% raises are only based on the first year value, hence the divisors I listed of 3.135 and 4.27. For a four-year contract with standard escalators, the annual salaries are Y1, Y1*1.045, Y1*1.09, and Y1*1.135. Therefore, the total value of the contract is Y1*4.27. So if a 4 year deal is worth 30M, you divide the 30M by 4.27 to get the first year value, and then apply the 4.5% escalators for the subsequent years.
You wouldn't need that cap hold since Rolo, LMA brings it to 13. We could cut Frazier and or Crabbe. Cap is also not finalized and last projections at $69 million. Perhaps it'll be higher. We could always stretch or trade either Henderson or Kaman. The tough part is getting LMA to agree to come back; not making the cap work.
