Great win....Archer rolling along to start the series..Rays still lose...the rest of the division also lost.
A tried and true good formula for beating TOP opposing pitchers➡have YOUR pitcher keep the game close and then beat THEIR bullpens.

    Tanaka did well enough.

    Outstanding win...great job guys.

Archer is having a dream year, its a moral victory to hang in the game, til Archer was pulled for the BP, then goodbye cya and sayonara........

I think this Yanx Team has more players with a shot at "Comeback Player of the Year".......

    Yes indeed.
Tanaka did well keeping the game close and then the Yanks beat their bullpen.
That's been the formula for years and years....stay close to "aces" and get to the bullpens. That's how those Yankee teams used to win when Pedro and other aces were facing them.....just make sure you also send out a "pretty good" SP more often than not, ....which is still the biggest question regarding this Yankee team going forward- imho

I'd say its the most pressing, and important at the same time. No doubt the biggest question, going forward..........

It's how they won games vs good teams, and Starting Pitching, by wearing out SP's to get to the throat of their opponents, exposing any weaknesses.

while beating all other Teams, by making other Teams die by those great Yanx SP and RP Staffs. Especially 96 to 09........but then any decades dynasty isn't over looked of previous years of Great Yanx Teams.......

Saw that on quick pitch, pretty sharp call, Longoria looked really pissed leaving the bag. Getting tired of Longoria getting comfy against this team, he needs to be placed on the "dust" list with several others. That bomb McCann hit was really out there but the game could have been won earlier with a timely base hit. Surprised by Shreve, usually gets the. job done. I'd like to see the Yankees straight out kick some butt today.

...yup, this team cannot continue to be so reliant on the HR.

When I stopped watching the Yankees were down 3-0 in the 8th, imagine my surprise. Great win.

Ok so I was at this game and had pretty decent seats...first row behind the foul pole..great call by Girardi or Digi on that review, you definitely saw daylight between his spike and the base. Two reviews both got the calls right and that is what its meant to do!

so I had the fortune of taping both home runs....here is the tying 3 run shot by Mark...

7/6/15 - Yanks in middle of pack batting .255 w/risp, 7th best in the league.
Yanks have a better record NOW, than 5 of the teams ahead of them in that category.
KC is the only team which has both a better BA w/risp than the Yanks AND also a better record.....(by 3.5 games)...and we're all terrified of the Royals....lol....LMAO!

I have to admit....the YANKEE FANS I associate with never have ANY problem with the Yanks hitting ALOT of HRs. ..,..,excuse me....I'm gagging on my coffee as I laugh at this thought...... Beam me up Scotty!

So where are we going with this? ➡assuming there is a problem with Yanks "overly relying"on hitting ALOT of HRs....They hit a alot of HRs...PERIOD....end of story. Lol
Re- read the numbers I submitted regarding BA w/risp....
Yanks NOW, currently in first place!

Stop making a fool of yourself trying to throw a wet blanket on the current state of affairs.....I get the impression you complain when the sun isn't shining at midnight. Lmaoooo

Oh....just for the hell of it....let me toss another ingredient in the mix...
The Astros currently have the best record in the league and have hit the most HRs...and....they have (.244) a worse BA/risp than the Yanks.

Think "pitching" has anything to do with it?

Garshdarnit.....I hate when I laugh while sipping my coffee.

BLG, no offense but you're quoting a post from several days ago & using sarcasm to make your point. We're currently trying to curb this as it can only lead to a sarcastic response & so on & so on.. It would really be appreciated. AGAIN......no offense meant.
