I'm asking you a simple question. Do you think Portland should have given Matthews 64 mil for 4 years and Lopez 58 mil for 4 years is smart for the Blazers?

I'm asking you an even simpler question. Do you think it's a good thing that we lost 4/5th's of our starting lineup?

Obviously no, but arguing that is fucking stupid. We all know this sucks. But no smart GM would commit that much money to those two players, especially if Aldridge is gone. You rebuild because you have to. Blooming Olshey is fucking stupid. He did the best he could to massage Aldridge's ego.

So you pushing this "we lost 4/5 of our starters" crap actually meaning "Aldridge made us lose 4/5 of our starters". Pure and simple

Last Thursday night/Friday morning Phil Walsh, the head coach of the Adelaide Crows (Australian Football team) was murdered by his own son. Whilst they're not the football team I support, it is the city I live in. The whole sporting community in Australia across all sports (not just football), and a city of one million people, is still in a state of shock.

Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh stabbed to death, son charged with murder

The news that LA is leaving has not phased me in the slightest. My philosophy with sport (and this has only reenforced it) is to enjoy the good moments sport brings, and ignore the bad. Because in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter.

    Losing 4/5ths of our starters?

I think it's the best thing that could have happened; regarding Batum and Aldridge.
Wanted those two pussies of the team for freaking years now. Tired of watching them mail-it-in.
Just devastating that Aldridge conned us out of compensation.

I liked Lopez, but he was overpaid by another team.

The one that sucks is the man, Wesley - but it was an unfortunate injury - not much you can do about that.
Too risky to re-up at $16 mill per.

We have young, athletic, hard workers on the team - emulating a much better leader in Damian.

We were right there. With a healthy Wes we could have won it all. Should've re-signed everybody and taken one more shot.

Problem with this... Aldridge wasn't coming back unless we did something big. If Olshey knew he could keep the entire band together, he would. The fact that you think this fantasy would happen is crazy.

But if they were true athletes who found inspiration to compete at a high level, from nearly everything then the negativity is a certain fuel for success which in turn would earn the respect and loyalty from their fan base.

Until the selfish bastards screw us over and sign with another team in the off-season!

Keep thinking we had a championship caliber team. If we did we should've been able to beat teams like the warriors and grizzlies. We didn't. Not even with a healthy squad.

Again bullshit. You work on this shit much further in advance. Olshey didn't do that.
