Welcome to Raptor's Gameday, I make these threads for discussion once in a while. Last game, Jarrett Jack scored with ease and was able to get into the paint when he wanted, and today, that Raptors are looking to stop that. Ford has to focus on beating Jack off the dribble since he is the much quickier point gaurd. If he uses his quickness to his advantage, Jack will have a hard time keeping up.Uh Oh, Is that You Zach?[IMG] [IMG]One of the best forwards in the leaugue today faces for the Raptors. Today, Probably Rasho will be handling the defensive assignment. Missing the first game against the Raptors, Zach is ready to eat the Raptors injury prone lineup. Look for switching on this guy all night to help with the D. If the Raptors can keep him off the perimeter, then they should be able to box and get the rebound.Starting off the Bench[IMG] [IMG]Two gaurds off the bench looking to provide scoring off the bench today. Both players are looking for more playing time and need to step it up. If Mo can get his 3 point shot early, I think he can get the Raptors excited and on a good run. RF1's X-FactorTorontoAndrea Bargnani[IMG]PortlandJarrett Jack[IMG]Ok when it comes to improving, Bargnani has been a serious contender. Hes been a key part of the Raptors win in that past few games and is eager to prove why he is number 1. As for Jack, he had a monster game against the Raptors last time and could light it up again. Look for Jack to be as aggressive as he was last time.RF1's 3 Keys to the GameToronto1. If I say run again, I think im going to have to shoot someone, I don't get it, we have some of the fastest players in the league, and your telling me we can't outrun players?2. Box out. The Raptors have a plus .600 percentage when they outrebound their opponent.3. Take higher percentage shots, instead of 100 19 footers, shoot 100 15 footers, which one will go in more?Portland1. Run, The Raptors have a lot of injuries and this is their fourth in 5 nights, make them tired.2. Pick up the Pace, the Raptors tend to get lazy, catch them on the backdoor and off the dribble when you can, because trust me it will happen.3. Now that Randolph is back, use his effectiveness against the undersized frontcourt of the Raptors. My thoughtsThe Raptors have been playign fairly well without Bosh lately, The Raptors need to finish off on the road, because their January sched is full of homegames, in which they have played well in as of late. Note: Raptors haven't been over .500 for at least 1 1/2 years.Pre-Game Notes: Blazers on 5 game winning streak, Raptors looking to get ontop of Atlantic. Past 5 Game Outlook: Wed. Lol, except I don't do home games. You sure Bosh isnt going to play? Anyway, we need this win. The Blazers have surprisingly been pretty good this season, but we need this win to get us back on track and get us closer to .500. Two days ago, it was Fred Jones. Who will step up this time?I'm staying up to watch this one. I'm excited.

Dude, Amare shot like 80% on us. I don't think we can contain Randolph. Rasho is a good defender, but I doubt he makes a difference. We've just got to hope that our offense is very good tonight, because even if Randolph does off, the Blazers still arent a good offensive ball club.

Wow, nice game. I thought Garbajosa got that last shot in before the buzzard at the end of the 4rth, but they did a good job in overtime to get the win. I can't believe how great this team has been playing without Bosh. You guys will have a nice shot at winning the Atlantic once he gets back.

I agreed with the call.Okay, easily the best game of the season. TJ Ford freaking owned in OT. He scored 9 points in 5 minutes, and was just popping shots constantly. Andrea with the clutch jumper to give us the lead, nice job...I thought Anthony Parker plaeyd well tonight. His jumpers were falling, and he got to the rim, and made some foul shots today. Fred had another decent game, attacking the rim well. I'm glad he didn't settle for jumpers again today...Some Portland notes...I love Brandon Roy. He almost got a triple double tonight. His game is literally flawless. He is good at practically every facet of the game. He can defend, slash, rebound, pass, shoot. He does it all. He showed off his pg skills big time today. He can play both guard spots very well, and he shot the ball very well, and blwe by our defenders easily.I also like this Travis Outlaw kid. He showed me tonight that he has developed a jumpshot. He is good at blocking shots, getting rebounds. And he is a very good athlete with great quickness, and hops. Finally....I don't get to see much of Zach Randolph, so I was looking forward to seeing how he gets all his points. Well.....the man can hit a 15 footer, he has an outstanding post game, with lots of good moves. He is a very big, bulky guy. He can take you off the dribble because of his great inside moves, and he has a little hook/floater going for him. He is a very good big man, and people need to start giving the man respect. Oh, and Joel Przybilla is a nice swatter too! This is why I watch basketball folks. Just a GREAT, GREAT game. Raptorfan, I would be crying if I were you...We need Chris back!

Because they're winning games and the division, which isn't supposed to happen.

I listened to the Last 8 minutes. What What What an exciting game, I was going to break the radio. But how about TJ Ford? how about the 23 Points, 10 Assists, and 3 rebounds. Also not to mention Ford scored 9 of the Raptors 11 in the final outing. And then Bargs, 12 Points, 3 Steals, and 5 rebounds. Andrea scored the game winner to lead the Raps in OT. O about the tip in by Garbajosa. What the refs did was play it frame by frame. And it looked like right a millisecond after the buzzer went off, Garbajosa touched it with his fingertips. Anyways, that was the best 8 minutes of radio ive ever seen.

Reporter: Where you nervous in your first NBA overtime game?Bargs: "What? I didn't play overtime, I only take the last shot." Reporter-"Did making that shot give you more confidenc ?"Bargs-"What?"Reporter-"Making that shot, did it give you more confidence?"Bargs-"It did nothing, I have confidence" Reporter: Is it hard sitting for 20 minutes, then having to come in to take the final shot?Bargs: Yeah, it's nice... :dribble:
