I think we look toward LAC. They are over the cap and used over half of their MLE to sign Pierce (if you believe the reports). They either need big men or will be the smallest team in the league. We have Kaman and Freeland's ability to S&T. They have Redick. We could also sign Jimmer for cheap.

It wouldn't surprise me if Neil went after Gallo.

A similar deal that LA/IND pulled off - a total salary dump for a future pick.

He has one year left on his deal.

Though, with OKC looking to max out Kanter I'd try to pry away Adams.

With Philly having three centers (Nerlens plays better at the five) I'd try to pry away Embiid (red flags and all) or Nerlens.

Our PF/C rotation looks solid. We need wings. I don't like Henderson as our non-shooting SG. And he's next to another non-shooter in Aminu. Not the best for spacing

Would bringing in Gallo and Sergio be good?

Connaughton and Leonard can drop bombs.

    Lillard - Cj
    Connaughton - Henderson
    Aminu - Crabbe
    Leonard - Vonleh- Davis
    Plumlee - Davis - Kaman

Davis starting center. They're not paying him 6 mil to sit.

I can guarantee you that Henderson will not appreciate being benched to let a 41st pick 22 year old (who wasn't even the best player on his college team) start ahead of him. It just won't happen.

And we don't really know if Connaughton can shoot in the NBA. I doubt he will get more than 10mpg this season.

What's the rule now for minimum salary? 90% of the cap?

We still need about 15 mil on the books then.

I think he'd be a good fit with this squad, and we don't really have any SFs on the team right now, and there's not much to choose from.

In March and April he averaged 19.3 points, about 5 rebounds, just over 2 assists and shot .423 in March and .523 in April while hitting .371 from '3' in April and .463 from '3' in May. Rebounds, assists and points were all up in April. He did sit a game here and there over the last two months but only a couple and it looks like he was finishing stronger towards the end of the season.

    Nice. Sold.

I'd go totally positionless and unconventional and start him at the 2 on offense and let Aminu guard the opposing SG.

    Dame/Gallo/Aminu/Leonard/Davis

    With CJ/Henderson/Vonleh/Plums backing up.

That roster looks very interchangeable. I dig it. 35 wins for sure

Gallinari would be nice. Even if were rebuilding we still need to find shooters/scorers.

I'm more concerned about the opportunity cost. If we're paying for something, then I'd rather get a shot at finding another player who could be with us long term. I want us to get to the lottery, but I don't care if we get the most ping pong balls, especially in this draft

Gallonari? Meh. I'd rather have Green, or play Alonzo Gee. Gallinari sucks at defense and his offense is not enough to make up for it.

It would be better to keep our options open by keeping the cap space than to over pay someone that we don't really want. But of course, this roster still has holes to be filled.
