Well after seeing that AI got 10 assists tonight with JR Smith and Melo both out how many a game do you guys think he will average once they get back? I think he was really trying to prove in this game how unselfish he'll be here. I would'nt be suprised if he start averaging 9+ a game or even 10.

It won't go up at all. He will probably play the same way, maybe take a few less shots. He won't have the ball in his hands as much as he did in Philly because of Carmelo so that's why I don't see his apg going up.

It will probably go up a bit. Maybe not that drastic getting 10 a game like he did, but having a more reliable shooter in Melo can really help. Not to mention the rest of the team as well.

I didn't think of the fact that he will have the ball a lot less lol but to say they won't go up at all is a ridiculous. I mean now that I'm thinking about 9+ is probably a stretch but now he has one of the best scorers in the league to pass it to and another very good option to pass to in JR Smith. If he can average 7.3 a game in Philly with no legitimate 2nd option I don't see how they won't go up with two of them even if he gets the ball less.

It's one game. When Mike Miller got traded in 2003, Tracy McGrady scored 52 points his first game back... In three quarters. That kind of thing happens sometimes, but it definately won't continue.

I think his assist numbers will stay around 8 per game. As someone mentioned above me he won't have the ball in his hands near as much as he did in Philadelphia.

He should set up JR Smith well though. Defenders will have to work to cover those guys, and it will leave JR open from three. Maybe it goews up a bit...I don't see him averaging anything more than 8 apg.

Once all guys are back, and it's Camby, Melo, JR, AI I think AI can get a consistent 10 assists a game. But you won't really see a diff in his assists average over all this year much even if he get's a 10 game like often once those guys get back it still won't get past 8. somthing. Because there will be games also with less then 10 so it won't get to 9 this season even though it be close. But next season I say 9-10 assists easy.
