I like it for the Warriors. Obviously, the dream for them would have been either no player coming back, or a player that would be useful for them, but that's probably unrealistic (especially if they didn't want to add salary for next year). Maybe the Warriors can drag something out of Wallace's basketball corpse. Speights and Barbosa looked better for them than I expected.
That makes sense. BTW, holy shit. Crash just... crashed to earth after he left POR, didn't he? Buchanan's best move as GM for sure.
That's not coming from the Warriors, though. I recall reading earlier in the offseason that the Warriors weren't interested in taking on salary in future years and might even just keep Lee or buy him out this offseason if they had to. Maybe they'll change their mind, but I can see why they'd rather just bite the bullet this year (since it's not like it's costing them a player like Green) and then have their entire core plus max space next offseason.
David Lee, Amir Johnson, Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk are all PFs. I know one can probably play Center in a pinch but dang!
It is interesting. I wonder what we'd have gotten. Another mention of PDX trying to do something that we only hear about after a deal is completed (without our involvement, in this case).
