That's the thing that concerns me the most. The second thing is conditioning.

I think he spends a lot of time and money on hair conditioners myself..no split ends on Meyers noggin

I have been trying to think of who Meyers reminds me of, but I really can't think of a comparison. He has the body of Tyson Chandler but he shoots like Sam Perkins.

I was thinking Brad Daughtery, but maybe that's reaching here.

If he develops a post game and improves his defense, how about a young Sheed?

How about Spencer Hawes? I think Leonard is far more athletic.

He reminds me most of Bill Laimbeer, but obviously more athletic. Tom Chambers is also a great comparison.

Sheed was never as built as Meyers. He was kinda flabby. He was athletic but Meyers could easily beat Sheed in an arm wrestling contest.

More importantly, Sheed could beat Meyers in basketball.... every f'ing time. Comparing one of the great post up players in blazer history to someone the coaching staff refuses to post is a very poor comparison. Sheed was also a great defender, Meyers isn't at all. Meyers may be a better rebounder?

Bottom Line, choose someone else, though I can't think of anyone else.

I expect him to get better at defense, and rebounding. I then expect him to crack into starter minutes in the rotation.

Yeah they don't compare in the least.

I don't want to invoke a comparison with Sabas, because Sabas was so polished when he finally arrived... maybe 16-yo Sabas?

I think a lot of us owe Nards a big apology. I remember when we drafted him people were laughing and stuff. He's more than shown he wants to be a part of this team and lead. He's the type of player we need to maintain a semblance of stability. If I ever meet him than I am going to buy him a few stouts. If he'll let me.....

we apologized last year. He turning into a great complimentary player. But, that's what he is, a complimentary player. If we had gotten a low post threat to go along with him, it'd get great. But, we don't have that yet.

Will he have a better year than Drummond? They're completely different players, but since they play the same position and were drafted just two spots apart, that's the standard I'll be watching.

did you see his stats when filling in for an injured Bropez last year? Was it 7 or 8 games? All star numbers. Like I said a couple times in a couple other threads, I don't see how anyone can say there is no up when these guys are so young and entering a whole new situation. Whos to say they weren't played to their strengths, or were on a team that didn't fit their play or vice versa?
WAY too many unknowns in my opinion to say this team is this or that with too much certainty, other than they are very athletic and young. Two things I value VERY much

Meyers "Charles Atlas" Leonard lifts. Sheed very famously did not and in fact preferred to pay the team fines for not doing so. Meyers studies film. I think it's clear Meyers is more driven and more athletic than many who have come before him.
