    Wes priced himself out and he knew it. He made it clear early on that he wanted 15 million. He knew there was no way we were going to offer 15 million.

    What were we supposed to offer him? 12 million?

    Just because another team is dumb and gave him crazy money doesn't mean we should. Probably best decision team made all year! Good luck to Wes and glad he got paid

    According to this, Sacramento actually offered 16M (64/4), and Wes took 57/4 from Dallas. So, 14.25M.

    I wouldnt pay Wes without LMA coming back. So I'm glad we didnt with no LMA and bringing back Wes is stupid we werent winning a title anyways so theres no point in bringing back Wes without LMA back..

    I can see Wes coming back to play with us one day though as he closes his career out

    I wouldn't pay Wes until I saw him play consistently at the level he was before the injury. He suffered an injury that has a relatively significant chance to affect his ability going forward. It's better to lose a potentially good player like Matthews was than to give him a big contract and see him return as a shell of what he used to be.
