...ha!...I only put it in caps because most people are completely unaware what it stands for...thanx to Mr. Cousteau.
Aye, Self Contained Breathing Appartus.........Jacques also co-invented the Aqualung.... I don't think one can sing enough praise to Cousteau's Legacy, he was too Oceanography; what John Muir and Theodore Roosevelt were to National Parks...... I know He had 2 Sons carry on His Legacy, yet haven't heard much at all out of their continuing saga into the Exploration of the Sea.......
I'm re-stoked, obtained Jump #8,992 this week, and am shooting for my 5 Digit USPA Pin; by Years end....... 42 Years of Jumping, some years, many more than others, plus down years after back surgery........best thing in the world, is rehabilitating post OP, then taking on that 1st anxious jump, hoping, I'd land in one piece.... Best thrills: jumping into Night drop zones, for Accuracy Tourny's, which are well lit up tho', or into the Pacific a few times, with no permits; as well as a few State and Natl Parks, which weren't USPA certifiable jumps, in other words illegal as all hell....... Next stop, I hope Wingsuits........
uh, uh, (stuttering) uh, Yep, that's the ticket, Tulls played Music and Jacques pumped air...... After all wasn't Jethro's Aqualung released in the Medieval Ages, on a hand cranked turntable, with a rams horn, and a Eagle's Beak for a needle......?
Tom, have you been up north of Bishop to watch the Intl. Parachuting, Paragliding, and Wingsuit Competitions, on the East Face of the High Sierra NV...? One fkn unbelievable place to Jump, ie God's true Country for Jumpers the world around.....
1 day, 1 jump, and I think I'll take Stampede's advice, and float in circles around Fenway, and piss on 'em all.............
No, but sounds cool. My first day to go skydiving, completed the course and was waiting for another big instructor to do AFF. Was taking pictures at the LZ waiting for 2 buddies to land their first jumps, and some yahoo failed to pull in time and made an impression in the parking lot. Field closed, money refunded, never went back.
Thanks... I think it looks different as I thought it looked more like an acorn cap rather than a closed pine cone (which the pic does) Either way cool and good to see you around. Missed you the last few days
