Perhaps. But are you really disputing that the Vulcan has a weird, overbearing reputation? But it brings up a good point, Having a "major corporation" running your basketball operation instead of basketball people is probably kind of a stupid way to go.
Every team are major corporations bro. And yes, the Vulcans, especially in early 2000 were hard to agree with. But in this case, they were justified with firing him. They should black list him too.
Who is the moron who told Hughes the state secret that Aldridge definitely wouldn't be back? The same GM who fired him? Why would an assistant coach know such a secret?
Please tell me this does not sound exactly like what he is doing with PDX over the last year or two... http://www.newrepublic.com/article/...basketballs-reporting-machine-gets-his-scoops
OMYGAWD! It couldn't have been LaMarsha himself could it? Or maybe it never was a "secret" to begin with.
Listen to Hughes again in that clip. He's so non-chalant and matter-of-fact; as if he were pointing out that water is wet and the sky appears blue. This was no secret, he got fired for not maintaining the illusion that the team didn't know . . . else that raises some serious competency issues about Neil and his grand plan.
I thought that at first as well. But for him to be so oblivious to what was said during the the press conference the night before.....seems hard to believe. I mean we all knew what Neil said. How could he not?
Laugh all you want...I've been right all off-season while you're busy trying to sell the forum on your "godfather" plan
I agree it is possible. It was late in Indiana. You would think he would have read about it or talked to someone about it. But it is possible he did not.
