Paul Pierce or Vince Carter?they're in the same draft class so it makes it even more interesting because there isn't much of an age difference
I would probably say pierce even though its really close. I say pierce because he seems to be more clutch and a better leader. Whenever I watch VC it seems like he'll just put up a million shots till he scores. He's not exactly the type I want if I have talent to share the ball with.
^ But Pierce is obviously, by far the best leader. Pierce may not be as flashy as Vince, but on any given night he can give you 50 pts. Give me Pierce, a better defender and overall player.
Wow, extremely close. Both about the same age. Carter will probably put more people in the stands, as for Pierce I think he might be the slightly better player. To be honest, I'd probably have to flip a coin lol.

Here are some more "stats" I'll point out for ya: - Pierce is bigger, stronger, and more versatile. - Pierce is a MUCH better leader. - Pierce has led a team to the Eastern Conference Finals (2002) when his supporting cast was as terrible as: Antoine Walker, Kenny Anderson, Eric Williams, Tony Battie, Tony Delk, Walter McCarty, and Erick Strickland. - Pierce is loyal. He has stuck with this organization though the thick and thin, while Vince admits not trying hard in Toronto and playing worse to get his ticket out of there. - Pierce is much more clutch. - Pierce is the much better defender (Vince doesn't even try defensively). - Pierce has only missed 19 regular season games in his entire career. Vince has missed 75. Pierce is so much better than Vince Carter, in so many different ways. So Vince is more athletic and he can make more highlights, but Pierce is the better player/leader by far IMO. Vince is the type of guy that will die down as he gets older because he relies so much on his athleticism. So not only is Pierce the better player, leader, and more durable... he will last longer and he is loyal. Got any other stats to shell out there, buddy?

I'd take Paul Pierce in a heart beat.
Now that I think about it more I cant even think of an argument for why you would take VC over PP. Pierce is a better all around player. VC's main claim to greatness is his scoring, but pierce scores just as well if not better than him. Tough argument to make for VC.
I would take Paul Pierce anytime over Vince Carter. I luv VC game but that style of game doesn't lead to victories while Pierce's does.Pierce is the better leader who is one of the most underrated players in NBA history. He has always been in the top 20 in scoring and is usually in the top 10. In addtion to scoring he passes and rebounds better than Carter. In addition Pierce has better shot selection than Carter.But the number 1 reason why I would pick Pierce is since he never quits on his team and is a quality guy who manages himself very well.
I'll take Paul. VERY even though. Vince is more flashy, but I think Pierce is a better fundamental players. He's lead his team for a while. I like Pierce.

Also VC and JKidd passing him the ball, Pierce doesn't have the luxury of an all-star point guard.
