So Charles Barkley and countless HOF players suck because they didn't win a ring...if a ring is the only thing that makes you have a great career, we wouldn't enjoy Blazer basketball in the modern era...I plan to enjoy Blazer basketball...I'm 61 and was 23 when we won a ring...I'm still not bitter about it

I like the hardworking team oriented Z-Bo in Memphis not the cocky selfish player who was averaging 23 and 11 and tearing up the league.

Okay sweet, so you understand players change in the right atmosphere. Glad we agree because Kanter at 22 was better than Statbo offensively and defensively. So since you acknowledge that your boy Zach can be "team oriented" and "hard working", we can be assured Kanter can

I'll go back and edit my post to green so people don't hate me.

It's riverman. I don't think I've ever seen any sort of serious disappointment or anger from the dude.

Yeah it's for the best. Lots of "realists" telling us optimists how to feel this week.

I'm typically optimist. But I admit I'll rain on the parade some are throwing for Kanter. It's like The Hibbert sitch. It ain't happening.

I'm fine with that. We poisoned his contract as much as we were able to, and we'll make OKC go into the luxury tax realm or dump salaries to us for the privilege of signing Kanter.

Stockton, Malone mutumbo, majerle, Baylor, mullins , lanier, maravich, webber, mcgrady, niqe wilkins ,lenny wilkens, Thurmond, Gilmore miller barkley sloan ewing chris paul, all of these players are obviously tarnished because their teams never brought home the Naismith award?

After watching Mitch McGary tonight, and knowing they also have Adams, (and Ibaka and Collison) if I am OKC I might pause at matching our offer. Mitch looks pretty good.

That's okay. Both players aren't worth a mustard far much less 40 mill.

That's great. But isn't the championship trophy called the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy? Before, it was named after Walter Brown?

Naismith is for College Player of the Year, right?

Obviously not. Or else they would've offered the same amount. Btw we don't know what was or wasn't offered by other teams. For all we know aminu might've taken less to come here. But in kanters situation we will know.
