he and Crabbe can probably fetch us a backup PG.

Every year it seems like we hate or love a guy based on his performance during summer league. And then find out it really was not a accurate indicator. So I take that Crabbe is this year's target?

I don't hate Crabbe but he disappointed me in this game. Could have just been an off night but I had him pegged for owning this game given the competition.

Thing with Crabbe is he's a "cog" player. He's as only as good as the players that surround him. I don't take him as one that can take over a game.

Are we really deeming Crabbe unimproved and not worth a roster spot after one summer league game playing with a bunch of scrubs?

    My Lord.

    Ignorance is no excuse!!!1!

I never made any connection to 'gypped' either.

For all I know the hyper sensitive Hungarian guy just made an erroneous assumption. Perhaps like when people think the term 'niggardly' is somehow related to the famous "n" word, which it most certainly is not.

    :dunno:

I tend to, whether I want to or not, think about this every day. I'm probably insulting someone. I'm not great with facial expressions, and sometimes cut a conversation off when I get bored with it. But awareness (for me anyway) makes me feel like I'm at least trying, y'know?

Really surprised more hasn't been made out of Tim Frasier's performance. If he plays every game like this one, well, that's Damian Lillard's summer league level of production. (Less points, but more assists/boards.) His defense wasn't great, but I thought he was clearly the best player on the floor in terms of controlling tempo and running the team. In the fourth he got more aggressive looking for his own penetration, and he really carried the team. He was constantly in the paint, drawing in two or three defenders and then kicking it out. And the rebounding was a nice bonus.
Unless Vonleh plays, I'm hoping the coaches tell Frasier to just dominate the ball. No good seems to come from allowing anybody else to create. Certainly not Crabbe.
If this game was any indication, I think Portland leaves summer league with a solid backup point guard to start the season, which is a big win for this team. And really, a ball dominant backup PG is what we'll need once the regular season starts anyway.

So you've changed your mind about defense?

Always like to throw that in speeches and such because it gets people looking at you in the best way.

I had a co-worker, who is black, tell me if I used that word again he was going to HR. LOL, I said oh, please do. Well he did, and HR actually told me to stop using the word. I asked HR if they knew what the word meant, and was told that it didn't matter what it meant, if someone is offended by it, you can't say it. I was like.....Are you fucking kidding me? Anywho, long story short, I still say it and nothing happens because it's just a regular word, and I don't think my company would like to get sued if they fired me for it. The co-worker and I have talked about this, and what blows my mind is after I explained to him what the word is and means, he still said he didn't want me to say it because it sounded similar.
We have Lillard, Meyers, Plumlee, and maybe Kanter, even though in a few pages from now OKC will have matched. Defense is not a priority with the team, so I need to be more like Queen Elsa, and let it go

Meyers' defense has improved significantly, Plumlee is pretty good defensively, as is Henderson, and our free agent signings have included excellent defensive players in Aminu and Davis. Defense may have become more of a priority than you are willing to recognize.
