I just realized that the Nets two PGs right now are: Steve Blake and Jarrett Jack. Ah, memories.

Just as a reminder, luxury tax is assessed based on team salary as of the last day of the regular season. Assuming the Thunder do actually match, there isn't any huge rush to dump players.

I havent watched a ton of him. But he is young with plenty of potential at a position of need. He can create his own shot and has crazy length. One of the games I did get to see him play was this one

I was thinking on the lines of how we got Robin. Absorbing a contract of a young player (He was 25 at the time) to facilitate another trade.

Or maybe we gamble on a young player who is not going to re-sign with their current team. (i.e what OKC did with Kanter) Of course that will take an asset from us going back.

I do remember Perry Jones playing well when Durant first went out. He could not sustain it, and I am not sure why.

Just imagine Jones and Leonard at the 4 and 5... Jones can pass create and both could space the floor for Dame and CJ to do whatever they wanted. Jones is young and never really got the PT to develop. Thing is if we were actually able to snag him, there might actually be too many young bigs. Plumlee, Leonard, Vonleh, Davis, and Jones, along with Kaman, there's only so many minutes to go around. I wonder if he could play some SF though...

I would think that Presti will go out of his way not to reward the Blazers with either Perry Jones or Augustin.
We are option #29 for him.

I think Jones can play sf. That's what I'd want him for anyways

It's not like 29 teams have cap space.. only a few do. We might have time give up a 2nd down the line but it's worth it.

Yeah, but we'll get notified about the Kanter match and then we'll call him.

Presti might want to trade with the Blazers even after this because 1) we have the cap space and 2) we aren't a threat to compete in the playoff race. Last thing he would want is to trade Perry or anyone and then have to face that trade in the playoffs.

Don't think their concerned at all with facing their 13th man. Were we worried about facing TRob or Barton?

I'm surprised you would create a jinx thread like this. If OKC lets us have Enes it's your fault!
