Favorite line from the video I posted "Russel Westbrook blocked by Harkless......again"
Hell I would trade for him just for that!

He would be a nice backup SF behind Aminu or Henderson
    Awesome trade

Stotts better change his offensive philosophy of launching 3s all day and running pick and pops. With this group it will never work. Our offense is going to be Dame shooting 30 times per game and the other 4 guys crashing the offensive boards for offensive put backs.

We suddenly have a lot of guys that, at least in this part of their development, are best running and attacking the hoop. Are we about to run?

Agreed. And that kinda excites me. Just so different from what we're used to with Stotts.

I like the fact we're staying bad. Lots of minutes, lots of room. Next year is an 82 game tryout. We'll see who pans out.

Yep.. I'm sold, and all we gave up was a bag of peanuts? Definitely a steal.

Yes, I read today that he has a rep as a hard worker; there are very few players who ever spend time at these basketball workout places other than the month before they get drafted. As you said in an earlier post, we gave nothing for him; Paul Allen can buy 2nd round picks (in fact that may be how they are getting this particular pick). If he's bad, he can help keep us in the lottery; if somehow the coaches help him become something, well, great. By the way, when are we announcing the new player development coaches we are bringing in for all these young somewhat raw players?

hmmmm it is interesting to see if Stotts can adapt to these players - sorta seems more like a Thibs oriented team doesn't it? lol

I believe this is about a two to four year "re-calibration".

It bothers me that the big knock on him is he doesn't play with a motor or with a lot of intensity. That's Doug Collins' take on him anyways.

We got rid of a SF that had the same problem

this one costs us chump change and a one season look in a season which is about just that, he's 22 knows this is his chance, well worth the very low cost gamble IMO

We gave up a second-rounder. This is hardly a gamble. Another overlooked, but shrewd move by NO. One that could pay big dividends and if it fails, we won't think twice about.

NO is pretty good with those types of moves. Still waiting for him to really attempt something more risky. The Afflalo deal was the one risky move he's made (that I can really recall at the moment), but I don't really think of it as a "big" move, though it was intended to solidify the bench.
