He can form a trio with the other members of the White Flights: Legend and Plumdog.

it's actually only 101k more than his cap hold. We only lost 101k in cap space with this signing

“I try to disprove that day in and day out,” he said. “People try to compare me to (Atlanta Hawks guard) Kyle Korver right off the bat just because I can shoot a little bit and I’m a white basketball player.

“It’s just a matter of coming out and playing and showing that I can be just as athletic.”

Asked who in the NBA he thinks his game most closely mirrors, Connaughton is ready with a response – Portland Trail Blazers swingman Wesley Matthews, who is black. Like Connaughton, Matthews was a glue guy in college (at Marquette) who could shoot it with distance and battle with the bigger bodies. He just played. Matthews was an undrafted free agent coming out of college, but has since made it big in the NBA (he’s averaged 14.0 points in 32.0 minutes a game the last six seasons) because of his skill set.

It may be PC to like PC while typing on my PC, but I like him. The problem? Barring injury, he won't see the court much.

Just thought it was interesting that is who he compared himself to before the draft.

Yes he is a lot more athletic version.

I think he will get playing time. He just seems to always be in the right spot.

over CJ at the 2? Maybe some minutes at the 3? Over our 3 SFs? I just don't see it.

PC can play, you can see it, I can see it. But he won't get time so he'll rack up crap stats. Then 3/4 of the people on this board will pontificate about how he's mayyyybe a 5th guard. He will then finally get some PT, kick ass, and then everyone will say how they knew he would be awesome and make up their own nickname for him to prove to everyone how smart they were...

    Sigh, such is life.

He'll play, though it's not likely to ever be that consistent. The dude will show up when he's in the game though

He's nowhere near as physical as wes though. Maybe that'll develop over time but he's not there yet.

I don't know if he will ever be as physical as Wes. I don't know too many players that can. I would venture to say he's definitely more "athletic" though.

He's not as strong, but his game is very engaged an in your face on D. I though he blocked that blown dunk in the first summer league game, and he got robbed at least one rebound by the buzzer. It's not like he's gonna just step in and be awesome, but it's closer to that than I think we had any right to hope for with the 41st pick. Just how afraid was everyone that he was gonna play baseball?

He's pretty strong watch the Kentucky game, he was guarding a 6'10 250 lbs Trey Lyles.

Out rebounded all of their bigs combined, not long rebounds either under the basket banging with those boys.

This is my wish for him, Butler's athleticism and defense makes him my favorite player. A Wes Matthews on steroids.
