Hi guys, first post I've ever made on here. Have been all over this forum for the last few months and decided it was high time I actually joined in! (It's a long way from Australia and nobody else I know likes the Blazers...) My question is: what are we gonna do this season in terms of our front court rotation? Who would you like to see starting? I'd prefer we start the Legend at the 4 and Mase at the 5 (at the same time I absolutely love watching Meyers play as a stretch 5). Also looking forward to seeing Vonleh and Davis progress. Can't really see Kaman getting that many minutes.
Meyers (30)/Davis (18) Plumlee (25)/Davis (6)/Vonleh (17) Positions are all interchangeable between those 4 guys tbh.
I think Davis > Biebs, but as one poster mentioned Biebs may start regardless because of reasons of fit.
I'm fine with either Meyers or Vonleh starting. I think Davis will be the starting center with Plums coming off the bench, but honestly, right now I think it's anyone's guess. It's on these guys to show up and prove they deserve the starting nod.
Mostly agreed. Theoretically if Stotts is actually trying to win, then I see Kaman at backup C and Davis at backup PF. If it's more about development, then I see Davis at C and Vonleh at PF. Either way, I want to see the Nards/Plums starting frontcourt.
I really hope they give Leonard a big chunk of playing time. Towards the end of last season he really began to play well IMO.
Nards with 28 mpg between both spots. Plums with 22 mpg at center. Davis with 26 mpg between both spots. NV with 20 mpg mainly at pf. This is exactly right.
I actually really don't either. He would be a great mentor and guy to have in the locker room but if we're in rebuild/retool/rewhatever mode I would rather see the young guys out there.
Hey I'm from Australia too!! and nice name hahaha I reckon it's gonna be something like this: Davis(26)/Vonleh(22) Leonard(24)/Plumlee(18)/Kaman(6)
I think Davis will play a lot, I think Plumlee will see a generous amount of minutes and I suspect Meyers will get plenty of opportunities. But predicting rotations and who will get starting assignments and who will finish games is impossible to predict, mainly becuase we have no idea what role Stott's envisions for these guys.
This is going to be tough for Stotts. My default position is to run a meritocracy. OTOH, if you don't force-feed Vonleh playing time you will never know for sure if there is any hope for him. On the third hand, if Davis and Aminu excel it gives the team potentially valuable trade chips.
First I would like to say "Welcome to the board!" I would love to see Nards being the starter at 4 if that's even possible. I would like an even split of Plumlee and Davis at center. Use Kaman as the third string center and back up at 4. Von be the development guy at 4,5
