No...they just don't want to pay him 6 mil. The offers in Europe are considerably higher salary wise.
check the stats. He's leading summer league in APG. The only one close is Mudiay who the press is fauning over even though Frazier has a better A/TO. Frazier FG% is a very respectable 47.6% from the field. (Mudiay is shooting 16/43 or 37%). In addition, Frazier is also averaging 7 RPG - ridiculous for a PG. Seriously, try this. Use your eye test on pretty much any other guard, then move it back to Frazier and you'll see he's kicking serious ass.
Because we have plummeted to the depths. But then a couple of hours later, I like this Whitsitt-like, action-packed week. So I'm going back and forth on Olshey. I sure didn't think we'd lose 4 starters and about 27 substitutes. (No one ever mentions that he also gave away almost the whole bench, slivers included.) But I like him more moments than I'm disappointed. Kind of like Batum. A never-ending soap opera. (Does this generation even know what that means, since moralistic talk shows replaced soap operas and quiz shows in the daytime TV part of the Reagan Revolution?) So I like Olshey...but I reserve the right to change, depending upon whether his Clipper philosophy results in years of our being the league's laughing stock.
I'd pass on Calathes. Good player but not the right fit. I want to see CJ get at least 15 minutes at b/u PG and another 15 minutes at b/u SG. With only a few minutes here or there for a 3rd PG, we have that covered in Tim Frazier. It's the year of development and PT.
