Yeah his shot needs work. I like the hustle though and he seems to have good court awareness.

Vonleh is probably the closest to being a big contributor next season. He does things you can't teach.

In answer to someone's question back there; I don't think Montero's contract is guaranteed past training camp.

Montero will still make the roster IMO and just redshirt. Maybe even see some dleague time but I'm not sure because the blazers don't have an exclusive partnership anymore. Remember he's coming from juco and didn't even play last season. Blazers can and will be patient with him.

So we basically beat the crap out of them in every category except we had ten more turnovers.

Welcome to the kindergarten of the big leagues, Mr. Montero. See you in three years.

Crabbe had 5 turnovers in the first half because they stole it when he put the ball on the floor. But this is a good opportunity for him to practice his dribbling, and overcome the catch-and-shoot moniker.

Frazier gets too much praise. He can't shoot, and the only way he makes a layup is to loop it in before the defender expects a normal shot. It'll be 4-on-5 when he's in, in the regular season.

Our guards, Frazier, Crabbe, and Bogans, sucked. Our big men carried us. Thomas, Orton, and Vonleh. Some of Vonleh's points came off of Frazier's assists when Frazier passed up the layup because he can't make layups.

Connaughton is like Matthews, a big sturdy stiff who will survive out of pure willpower. I see him eventually becoming another no-move Matthews, a guy with no strengths but no weaknesses, who is just there, like an unmoving hill you have to walk over.

Moe Harkless is going to Portland for a physical and expected to join the Blazers in Vegas for balance of Summer League.

Blazers don't have to have an agreement just to send him to D league do they?

Lol at the protection on the pick. Basically, Orlando is giving Harkless to us for free

I don't think so but the system they run down there might not be the same as Portland's, so they might just decide to develop him in practices instead.

But I thought I read he was unmotivated? ;)

    That's good news.

The more I see of Frazier, the more I'm convinced he is NOT a backup PG for anything other than blowouts. In 3 games he has yet to hit a shot outside of 5' and while he does a good job of setting people up in SL, that just doesn't translate to the Pros where they will just play off him and play him for the pass.

Crabbe looks a little more confident with his shot but in 3 games he has fouled out of one game which is tough to do because you get 10 fouls and then had 7 TO's in Game 3. I was hoping for better from him as a 3 year player.

Vonleh is the one shining light. 20 points on 10 shots with 9 rebounds, an assist and a '3'.

Except that we're going to be a top-5 team in 2020, so we'll have to pay up.

Definition of the term "small price to pay".

I knew that if I got on his ass, he'd come around. You can all thank me for his career turnaround.

He hit a few awkward jumpshots in the last game, but yeah his shot needs work.

I think CJ is slotted to be the backup PG. Everything Neil and Terry have said pretty much confirms that CJ will be playing some point this year. Frazier is a 3rd stringer who might get more burn depending on whether CJ flames out at the point or not. Rondo made a career being a starter at the point without a jumpshot. I'm sure Frazier will eventually be suitable for 12 minutes a night.

There's a KS joke in here somewhere, but I've decided not to touch it.

What's your take on Mudiay? The press is fauning over him and he's shooting WAY worse than Frazier. Frazier has consistently had a high assist total. The only other person to do this is Mudiay, and Frazier has a higher APG.

Crabbe looks very good, but I agree that the 10 foul game and the 7 TO in another is a concern.

Vonleh is aggressive, I hope he keeps it up.
