I was thinking Dan Majerle but I must admit his drive at the end of the 1st quarter against Dallas did look like DA.
He could be a PF and a SG lol . Certainly Stotts should explore him as a scoring threat and deploy him like Wes.
If it weren't for all the hype surrounding this guy, would he really be standing out based on his summer league play? He's shot a good percentage from 3 but haven't seen much else from him.
Who knows what the coaches are telling him. This is summer league, and guards with legit NBA talent usually go crazy. Pat hasn't shown much. I'm sure he's a great athlete, but it doesn't seem to translate much to the basketball court.
I agree with you to thus point and it's not like he is not playing hard. I think he is working and getting the most out of what he has to give. Which is disheartening. This isn't even Regular Season. With that said, he looks better than another player or two the forum went nuts over after the acquisition. He more than likely makes a roster spot.
I think it had more to do with how he played Basketball for four years at Notre Dame, than combine numbers.
I'm rooting like hell for this kid. I'm not passing any judgment over his role/performance in SL. Let's get in to training camp, let's see some preseason ball. Let's see how Stotts views his role once the lineup shakes out a little. Every thing is so muddy right now.
Dave DeBusschere, Ron Reed and a few others beg to disagree. I remember DeBusschere because he was a damn good basketball player and I also had his 1965 Chicago White Sox baseball card: I remember Ron Reed because he was from my home town and his dad was friends with my dad. He was a very good pitcher who made the successful transition from starter to reliever. Like Cannaughton, he was a multi-sport star at Notre Dame. BNM
