OT ...food for thought... laziest gun in the world

Someone emailed this to me and I forwarded it to Totus and a few other people and thought I'd also post it here;


Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in the doorway. I left 6 cartridges beside it, then left it alone and went about my business. While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of my house.
After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had presented to do so.
In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Left and the Media about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people. Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World. But if you take out just 4 cities: Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC and New Orleans, the United States is 4th from the bottom, in the entire world, for Murders.
These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the U.S. ALL 4 of these cities are controlled by Democrats. It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data - right?
Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat.

Of course NYC has it's share but they also have 8 million people and per capita it's probably the "safest" Big City re murder in the country.

...with the anonymity and lack of accountability of the internet I suppose it's pretty hard to determine who originated what and exactly when...over the years, I've received hundreds of bits of "info" through emails that were "forwarded" to me that ultimately turned out to be bogus or attributed them to the wrong person as actually having said them.

...but hey, as they say, "If it's on the internet, it must be true".

 

Were those "Silent Killing Spoons" still where ya' put 'em last, or did they disappear on their own, to take the life of another victim....?

I've got this fork, every time I pick it up, it tries to stab me, one hand on the other fighting that fork off. I've buried it, blew it up, and it keeps showing back up in my silverware drawer.........its not heart attacks that are the silent killers, its spoons and forks, sporks too.....

The number of concealed carry permits continues to surge....5% of the US population and climbing. And that doesn't include the open carry states in the west where people have traditionally worn a firearm.

I recall several years in the 70s, about the time I moved here, and heard, there are/were, as many Homicides in Los Angeles, per day, than in Tokyo or London, in a full year. What really fkd with my head, was hearing, -
"Welcome to Los Angeles, where there are more Homicides per day, than Death's in Beirut, over the course of a Lebanese Month"..

Of course all these stats are in flux, constantly evolving, yet more often than not, its usually the same cities, year after year.......

Notable: In 2013, the top 10 cities for Homicide rates were, (and this stat changes yearly over decades):

#7- Cincinnati
#6- Birmingham, AL.
#5- Baltimore
#4- St. Louis

This statement (to follow), did NOT surprise me, but reveals how racists bigots continue to deflect blame, utilizing their racists groups, the NAACP, and ACLU, (separate rights not equal rights); as well as vindication for relatives who were slaves, of which these great great great X 4 kids, think their entire race has or was treated unfair, as if they deserve something, another handout for History being what it merely was then. Even George Washington and Jefferson, used Slaves........as well as other ex-Presidents.......Not to mention, Caucasians, were NOT the persons who rounded up Slaves in Africa, to be shipped to the USA....

For every Black Social complaint, I hear; I simply turn such a convo to the plights and genocides of the Native American Indians, to rebuke those who think they have it so bad, as if 'they' themselves were Slaves......

The thing about japan.... Broaden that stat out for say the history of the US....and you'll see that their society was quite brutal. Knives are still the traditional weapon, and Yakuza murders don't get counted these days.

BTW, point of clarification, the US Constitution does not GIVE rights, it protects them. The first 10, aka Bill of Rights enumerates what the founders saw as rights bestowed to all humans (from God) or you can also say...from the basis of being human. To keep and bare arms provides to safeguard oneself (sic Heller, et.al.) as well as to check/balance tyranny.

The establishment in our urban centers have long run afoul of constitutionalism and rule of law. When those citizens have their rights fully restored, then we'll see real change in terms of crime. Of course we can get their much faster if we extend Roe v. Wade to say birth+30 yrs.

I'd honestly not have a problem with Govt stepping into mine and all others, affairs, for the sole purpose to investigate Child Mills, Women who have 5-6 kids, by 5-6 different Fathers, spaced out over years, to keep the income coming, ie, handouts........As well as Fathers who have multiple kids by multiple women, wives or one time girlfriends........and fail to pay a penny in child support......

(to fail to pay child support or fail to help raise one's child, is the epitome of a parent who has no self respect for themselves; otherwise every need of ones child would always require 1st priority, onself, last..........IMO...I wonder what the Govt would do in China under these pretexts????????? Firing Squads........??? seriously.....?
