Girard implies that Drew will strictly be a utility man http://bronxbaseballdaily.com/2015/...-stephen-drew-will-be-strictly-a-utility-man/
Heard the YES Broadcast Team talking about that yesterday. I'd like to think its one step in the direction of "so long it's been good to know ya" if a deal is made.
Also read in today's paper that with Beltran set to be activated today that Ryan is the most likely choice to be sent down or cut.
He lies. It's hard to watch bull shiters so glibly talk tongue in cheek crap. There is no consumer-centric marketing in Yankeeland. It's all about 'throw them a bone and let's see if they bite'............ it is not about pleasing the consumer; it's about 'their plan' to entice the consumer with mediocrity on and off the field.
Disgusted to the hilts.......... Someone needs to make Trashman and Hank, a part of their deep sea exploration team........ these 2 really don't know WTF they're doing, not at all.....At this point, a bat boy could do a better job than Trashman, while the Peanut Vendor could do better than Hank, how/why, cuz a Peanut tosser would know enough to bring Jeter back into the fold, and give/sale him at least a 51% stake......with additional stakes, due to time already served in Pinstripes.........
...it's evidently part of "the plan", which supposedly was "to get younger and more athletic"...but instead players like Jones and Ryan remain while youngsters like Refsnyder are kicked to the curb......yeah, very direct and concerted plan.
if the kid is up certain amount of days he got to be paid, bringin back beltran is all bout business.... it aint cashMAN, its the businessMAN
Could be a deal in the works and Refsnyder could return soon enough and as far as getting "younger" is concerned.....most, not all, most feel as if the Yankee young players at AAA and AA are right where they should be for the time being and Refsnyder HAS already been called up and it's not written in stone that he will not be recalled and join the team in the next couple of weeks or final two months. Mitchell was sent down to keep him stretched out as a SP in the event the Yanks may need him, and they ARE willing to use him if needed due to injuries...and Severino is available. Should the Yanks dump CC or Eovaldi and replace them with Severino and Mitchell? Okay, fine.....but it isn't going to happen unless CC and Eovaldi consistently get knocked out early and often in games from here going forward. Maybe they'll release Beltran and call up Judge? Nah....not going to happen. Bench Tex (even if he was having a mediocre year) and call up Bird? Nah...not going to happen. Next year is the "schedule" or "plan" for the younger players...and Jagielo should be two years away for 3b which makes Headley what he is...a veteran place holder who was , is expected to hold his own until- if- Jagielo is ready in two years...maybe, maybe sooner.
Pasta bringing back Beltran was not the problem, hanging onto both Drew & Ryan was. Ryan should have been cut. The guy has no business wearing a major league uniform.

Looks and sounds sensible and timely to me...but then I'm not an automatic Cashman naysayer - so you'll have to forgive me. Sorry 'bout that.
