I have to say that I now that I totally agree and believe in tanking. In pro sports nowadays, with parity being so difficult, if I was a losing owner I would do it every year. I remember when NHL pundits accused the Penguins of tanking. Of course they were! Probably the best move they ever made. Heck pay the players for LVP. Then you get your little ping pong balls and play the fixed crap game. Same time next year.
I agree and think it will happen. Fair enough on the tanking,. I just think we might see them develop quicker than aintiscipated, thus making us better, sooner than antiscipated. As far as free agents, it isnt just them. There can be a dynamic that develops where said all star wants out, like a Paul George. Who knows, but we have cap space to buy out in trade, as well as youngs to toss in. I am NOT in favor of trading CJ, Meyers or Voneh though. They are part of the future core going around Dame I think.
I disagree. I would much rather that our large stable of young players are good enough to win 45 games, than add a top-5 pick to a stable of youngsters that aren't good enough to win 30 games.
I only went through 4 stages of grief. Stage 1: Shock What's this?!? Stage 2: Awe Oh hell, the Blazers are having a fire sale! Stage 3: Laughter This is too absurd to be real. Stage 4: Screw it Nothing more to see here... moving on.
