This thread has more losers in it than a Chicago concert at Chinook Winds Casino.

No punks, no Emos. Goth might be acceptable.

What the team could really use is a violent, unstable psychopath.

    Man, you guys are harsh.

Yeah, I did the eye roll when I read the article, but what is wrong with a guy having more than one goal? Wanting and striving for more?
You guys act as though he is not on the court practicing, but instead sitting in debate classes learning how to lead. Does the guy REALLY need to spell out that he also knows he needs to improve and wants to get better on he court? I take that as a given considering his current situation and position. I see it as, of course he knows he needs to improve on some things and needs some experience in order to actually lead, but leaders don't flip the switch. they have that type A, take control, personality from the get go and if that is what he is and wants to become, Im all for it.
I never got that he thought he was going to be our starting leader this season... come on guys, stop being so instant and think more long term. This is a great thing for him and for the Blazers hat he wants to be a leader.

NOT ALL LEADERS DO IT ON THE COURT WITH NUMBERS. some do it from the sidelines and on the practice court with advice, imo....

I looked at this article and saw a potential of a player that wants to be a much bigger impact player than people think he is. The fact that he believes in himself that much is great news. People like him usually put their money where their mouth is and pull through. I expect nothing less from Pat

Hey, hey... THAT's a LOT of losers; we've got losers, perverts, tweekers (maybe some twerkers ), & etc. but THAT # of losers belongs either to the Fakers or MIA. I think you've got this forum mixed up w/ another:mario:

No problem with Pat having ambition, but I think that a guy ought to keep leadership ambitions to himself until he's proven that he has the goods to be a player.

Fair enough, but please keep in mind, sometimes the best leaders were not the best players. Otherwise guys like MJ and DRJ would be the best coaches in history.

Sometimes its the mediocre, fringe players, who may not have what it takes to make it in the NBA physically, but still have the mindset and BBIQ to be a leader off the bench as well as potential future coach.

We have Dame and Kaman, as leaders. To have one of the young guys help step up wouldnt be a bad thing at all in my opinion, whether he is doing it on the court or not.

If another player has an issue with someone helping out or giving advice on something, just because he cant do it on the court, then those guys aren't very coachable. From what I get about NO and PA, is character is huge and they aren't going to bring on attitude guys, so I don't see this being an issue. I'm hoping he can help Frazier with little things like spacing and not over dribbling. Something that Con seemed to have down and Frazier didn't.

Those are the types of things I can see him excelling at immediately, but its all whether the other players are mature enough to take heed or not.
Sometimes players can see what needs to be done, but cant do it themselves. Doesn't mean their advice or leadership shouldn't be taken seriously.

I'm sorry that was bad. How about Scorpions Tribute Band at The Hawthorne?

THAT "stings" much less & is much more accurate; make no mistake... many losers still inhabit this board... the #'s come much closer to those of a Scorpions Tribute Band at The Hawthorne :rockon::rockon:...

Sad thing is Chicago were a legitimately great band in the early 70's. Terry Kath on guitar and Danny Seraphine on drums are two of the greats in rock history. Of course, with the Pete Cetera A&R hits, cocaine and touring took their toll and by the end of the decade they were toast. They never really replaced Kath after he accidently shot himself in the head.
