Would you bring that extra big name player and who would that be?

I think Sheed had more talent actually and Boogie is the bigger headcase but this Portland culture could be just what he needsI wanna say Boogie but his character flaw scares the hell out of me. He would be the most likely disgruntled problem star that could be had. But there is a reason why he can be had. It would be like having Sheed all over again, but with more talent.
I'm gonna have to disagree about the talent thing. Boogie statistically dominates Sheed easily.I think Sheed had more talent actually and Boogie is the bigger headcase but this Portland culture could be just what he needs

Those 2 would be awesome... that's my pipedream scenario, but the thing is we have the young talent to get him. McCollum, Vonleh, Plumlee, Aminu, and 2 future 1sts is a better package then they were asking the Lakers for, and probably the best package they could get at the deadline if they decide to move him then. You go into free agency next year with Dame+Cousins and $30M-$40M in cap, plus a lotto pick from this year?! It'd cement Olsheys status as a top GM. That one move would turn a rebuild into a team better than any in the Roy/Aldridge era. Horford, Joe Johnson, Luol Deng would all be options as great 3rd/4th guys. Hell with those 2 I wouldn't mind bringing Nic back.Boogie seems like someone that really likes teammates that are not selfish. He and Dame would likely get on like a house on fire. I am going to guess that if Boogie was brought in to be the #1a or #1b option with Dame - it would be an amazing in-out option.
Anthony Davis
I actually wonder if that'd be legal. Sign Wilson to $16M here for one year just cuz we have the cap, then take that $16M off his NFL deal. Basically transfer Blazers cap room into Seahawks cap room haha.Paul Allen should sign Russell Wilson to the Blazers, waive him, and effectively circumvent the NFL salary cap.
The duo of Dame and Boogie needs another scoring wing that can create their own shot. Those 2 would be awesome... that's my pipedream scenario, but the thing is we have the young talent to get him. Alright I'm gonna stop fapping to this idea now.
Boogie will never do this
I'm not arguing mags..I stand by my opinion of Sheed...you said talent..I could have put on the clip of him taking over against Shaq and the Lakers in the finals game 4..just literally took over every possesion and ended with a win..Sheed was a rare talent. I like Boogie but would never sell Sheed short in the talent books.Like to see Boogie shoot like that eh?How does that reflect in a game that means anything?
No, no I wouldn't. I would like my big man to dominate the paint and score 20+, while grabbing 12+ boards and 2-3 blocks a game. I think Sheed's best season he was 18/8/1.5I'm not arguing mags..I stand by my opinion of Sheed...you said talent..I could have put on the clip of him taking over against Shaq and the Lakers in the finals game 4..just literally took over every possesion and ended with a win..Sheed was a rare talent. Sheed in game 4 against the Lakers in the finals..26/13....Boogie hasn't smelled a finals let alone played against Shaq and Karl Malone. I'm a huge Sheed fan..Boogie is still growing on me although I think he'll be a game changer for Portland if we get him.No, no I wouldn't. Sheed was my favorite player before Aldridge but I am realistic about talent. Sheed couldn't even hold Boogie's jock strap because he never applied himself to do so.Sheed in game 4 against the Lakers in the finals..26/13....Boogie hasn't smelled a finals let alone played against Shaq and Karl Malone. You realize how many conference finals games Sheed played in for Portland, Detroit and Boston in his career? Boogie hasn't made the playoffs yet and he's the man in Sac...what's so consistant about Boogie that Kevin Love didn't have in Minnesota..I don't buy the comparison at all magsSheed was my favorite player before Aldridge but I am realistic about talent. You are absolutely right! There would be games where Sheed would absolutely dominate opposing players, but he didn't do it on a constant basis. The consistency is what makes Webbers and Garnett's way more valuable than Sheeds
