The deal is on hold because one of the Royals player going back had a medical issue. Cueto was actually told he was traded before the hold up. I would expect the deal to get done shortly.
Unreal, heard on Quick Pitch this am that a trade was attempted but fell through because one of the players going to the Reds could not pass the physical.
...smart play by the Royals...if they were not before, they are certainly now the front runners. ...perfect for Cueto too...he's got 3 months or so to help get the Royals to the WS...if he continues to pitch like he has he'll get a sweet contract from someone next year.
