Saw that this am, really pissed myself and the squeeze off. Animals in their natural habitant should be left alone period. Someone should shoot this guy and put him on a trophy wall, or just set him out and let the lions hunt him. What a complete asshole!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a hunter but I don't mind hunting done for a purpose. For example people who eat what they hunt or hunting in order to control the populations of certain animals. Crap like this for the sole purpose of being able to pose like an idiot in front of a dead lion or rhino is bullshit.
big game hunting has no purpose other than ego. What you're talking about.....deer, elk, moose and bear (limited for population control) is fine. But big cats, elephant, rhino, etc. this has no use from a human sustenance perspective...its just trophy bullshit. and the manner in which this lion was killed, violates every single ethos that true hunters follow. this was beyond cruel.
It was disgusting to read that they shot the lion with a bow which didn't kill it. They then tracked and shot it. It took 40 agonizing minutes for the lion to die. There's absolutely no chance the dentist had no clue what was going on given the lengths that were taken to lure it out of the preserve. Even if he did have no clue like you said what he's doing serves no purpose at all. I hope they throw his dumb ass in an African prison.
he should be dropped off in the middle of the preserve.....and wounded with an arrow. Let the animals get their own version of justice.
