2003 is obviously deeper, but I think 1996 is more star studded. Of course the 03 draft has a chance to be better, considering they have alot of years ahead of them. All the players could become great.

Who knows how great the careers of the 03 draftees will end up.

Too early to tell. I'd give it to 1996. Kobe Bryant is the top player in the league, but Lebron will be soon. I think when it's all said and done, 2003 will be the better.

1996 NBA Draft. Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Marcus Camby, Jermaine Oneal, etc compared to who...Wade, Lebron, Bosh, and Anthony all great players but the 1996 draft still looks better besides those 4 players.

The 03 draft is bulkier at the top with LeBron Bosh Melo and Wade, while the '96 draft is just overall better. Who knows how it will be when its all said and done with both of them. The '96 draft has 2 surefire Hall of Famers and Ray Allen probably has a good chance of getting in too. The '03 draft has (assuming they continue) two sure-fire hall of famers with LeBron and Wade, and the one who has a good chance too with Melo. But you never know how it will all end out. People could get hurt, crumble, develop, etc.

^Agree. It just depends on how many guys play and for how long.If a bunch of these 03' guys win a bunch of championships...then it's them...because that '06 class looks week in the championships won department...most of them being won by Kobe, lol.

The 96 draft's talent is spread around more. But expect a really exciting NBA when the 03 draft gets in their prime... Bosh, Melo, Wade, LeBron... damn!

    Re: '96 vs '03 Draft

There is no argument that 2003 is deeper however I think that 2003 will also be more star studded. The 1996 draft class is all in their prime while the 2003 is filled with people who are young superstars already and still have developement to go through! LeBron is a superstar right now, you guys are wondering if he'll be a legend with how he's playing right now, of course not right now but he's still got developement to go through.

2003, even though there are more proven players right now from 1996.

I think we have to let a few years pass before we judge this but when its all said and done I think 03 will be better.
