cashman in a panic and now willing to trade mateo. knew it was only a matter of time. Kid has 70 steals in 91 games plus 16 triples this year. Better get a starter back if trading this kid

Glad to see Jones DFA, figured it would be him or Drew. Heard chatter about the Yankees going after a pitcher with a huge contract who wasn't quite working out. My first thought was Shields, big contract, not giving moneys worth. Shit, the Yankees already have CC, move on.

I still don't understand why they're looking at closers like Kimbrel & Chapman when you already have Miller.

I could see acquiring another closer if it were part of a deal to move someone out. Watching Miller and CC letting that God Damn Junkie Josh kick their asses I'd soon see both gone. Girl friend stopped by while I was watching asked how are they doing? I said tie, I no sooner got that out than dumbshit gave up the GWRBI. I let out with a stream of invectives that even the finest longshoremen could not match. And today I curse reading about the all stars being move and Cashman has been asleep through the whole chain of events. If I were Steinbrenner Cashman would be standing in front of Times Square with a work for food sign. Yankee Fans do not deserve this shit.

I like what I've seen from Miller. The hell with Kimbrel & Chapman.

Miller has been great. We should dump him because of last night? I haven't seen a worse knee jerk reaction in my entire life.

I did not say I want Miller gone, but him and CC sure pissed me off last night in conjunction with old "do nothing: Cashman. Now if the Yankees had acquired someone to move along that would have been cool. but old buddy Cash got another F on his report card.

29 other teams develop farm hands and bring them up. What's the fucking problem cashman?

Forgive me if I make this trade deadline stuff more complicated or annoying (not intentional), but I'm having trouble getting a hold on the general thought process and philosophy of the "board" and the Yanks' (Cashman) regarding potential trades.
    Getting mixed signals.......
Should Cashman have been willing to part with any ONE or TWO of the following prospects for one of those "big name" pitchers or some other big name position player by giving up Severino, Judge, Mateo? These were the names constantly being asked for and you can't blame the other teams.
Didn't "we" want the Yanks to get younger and refrain from trading away top prospects for older HIGH priced players?
Yanks need to bolster their SP...and 2b....fair enough.
Is it really more prudent, a better option, more of a sure thing for the Yanks to "improve" by acquiring a lower tier SP or mediocre 2b by trading away Sanchez or AA prospects than the options on hand from WITHIN organization?
Step one- Severino is ALREADY here and Mitchell is making a start vs Whitesox.
Refsnyder is still - excuse the choice of words - in the Yanks' plans.

And although things can change quickly and a 6 game lead can disappear literally in a week, it's not as if the Yanks are currently scrambling around in the middle of the pack 6-8 games out of first place.

Cashman and the "Yankees" (Hal) are holding onto their prospects, staying on schedule/course expecting (starting next year, and to a lesser degree this year) to get better for years to come with YOUNG home grown talent and hinting at reducing the payroll just as THEY HAVE BEEN saying prior to this season.

I'd rather "win or fail" with the likes of Mitchell and Severino in the SPR than some other team's lower graded SP.
Same goes for 2b and 3b with Refsnyder and Jagielo ◀he's on the radar screen hopefully in two years.

Old song from'66 about Cashmans recent trade actions.

You didn't do nothing, you let 'em walk by.

Zobrist would have cost less than 1 of top 4 prospects and fit in nice at 2nd with glove an bat and ability to play outfield for rest of year as refsnyder seems ticketed for 2016 ( I hope). Top pitchers were going to cost one of top prospects I'm glad we didn't give up. Other pitchers available were similar to the multitudes of #4 and #5 starters we have now. Need to put warren back in rotation and leave the kid there. Severino will be fine. Hope mitchell will have more going forward than he showed yesterday. Rest of the walking wounded staff needs to be pieced together for rest of the season.

It appears that Cashmen made very little effort to get anyone of value.
