Yep.....actually I just commented on him a little while ago in another thread regarding the Yanks' SP situation (Pineda down...possibly Warren to the SPR)....and the usual Cashman is an idiot stuff.

    Me:

Warren back to the SPR sounds like the best most obvious choice especially if they feel they have an adequate alternative for Warren's bullpen spot.
Or, the Yanks can call up Severino......then we could still have the bullpen intact and have our top pitching prospect in the rotation.
And Cashman won't have to "give up" anything to do it!

The problem is that is still leaves idiot ass CC in the rotation. If Cashcrap at the very least grabbed another bullpen arm then they could move Warren back into the rotation.

I certainly won't bet on it but - I won't be surprised if they (fairly soon) at least move CC to the bullpen with the obligatory diplomatic gracious doubletalk about having him "work out" some "things"....... it probably won't happen...

We all kinda know the situation with CC- the big salary, Cashman foolishly hoping against hope he can still "turn it around" and, one other reason which I think might, maybe, perhaps be carrying more importance than expected. That is, CC is really well liked, respected and kinda like a leader in the clubhouse.
I know this shouldn't get in the way and his horrendous ERA is the bottom line but unfortunately this might be a case of Cashman and/or Girardi just not being willing to make the move while the team's current overall situation is acceptable and doesn't appear to be desperate - yet.

Just as I'm writing this, I think about one of the toughest things for MGRS and GMs is telling a once great player for your franchise when it's time "to go".
We'll never find out but I wonder what would/could have happened if Jeter decided to play 2-3 more years....and we saw how limited his range was last year and his weakened hitting production including XBH had become.....how would they handle him if he were to drop into the .230s- .220s with terrible range.....I guess they WOULD keep him in the lineup maybe dropping him down.

No, I am NOT putting CC in Jeter's place in Yankee history or greatness but CC WAS a great pitcher in his heyday and DID help the Yanks win a WS.....

I could be wrong, and I hope we don't find out - lol - but I think if the Yanks were struggling in the middle of the pack and 7-8 games out of first place, they would've already yanked CC from the rotation. Just a thought.
