It's been a few years since the UFC has had legit crossover stars involved with the sport but they have put all of their weight behind McGregor and Rousey and it's paying off. Both of their recent PPV efforts are trending in the 1-million buy range which indicates interest in both of them is high among casual viewers and not just hardcores. Speaking of hardcores I admit it's a constant deluge of propaganda when you're watching every event but consider that most fans don't watch everything and aren't tired of hearing about those two. So, kudos to the UFC. Dana is still acting like a shitbird these days but the sport needs big stars to carry the weight and the UFC is doing it's part. As much as we (I) bitch about the way the UFC conducts it's business this is one area where they are succeeding.
Macgregor is entertaining to watch. It's also entertaining watching everyone get butthurt over his actions when it's easily an act
McGregor/Mendes was hyped to the gills and had two title fights. End result = 825,000 buys All the UFC had to do with the Ronda fight was keep saying Ronda was in it. The rest of the card wasn't very compelling. End result = 900,000 buys Estimates - Meltzer
