Once again some asshole feels sorry for the perp, probably got mad at his parents for not giving him two dollars for a movie when he was a kid and it festered within him. So some jerk on the jury figures that society and his parents " did him wrong". To make matters worse he may not "get the shiv" he'll probably be placed away from general pop. Regarding the attorney....blame Miranda and the Constitution. By all accounts this kid was building a superstar pedigree...his folks were checking all the boxes. But they failed to acknowledge the underlying problems. I worked at Salk when this kid was an intern. Pretty prestigious gig, I always took kids from the program into my lab. By all accounts he was strange and overly shy. So if people see this over the course of 12 weeks....where the fuck was his family on this?
Character witnesses can attest to all the he was a good guy stuff all they want. The atta boys are fine but his act was the ah shit that canceled them out. I'm extremely to the right with this stuff. You got caught, here's your trial, you get one appeal within 90 days of trial then right to the Crusher. His type of murder went "above and beyond" and his "award" as the Brits would say should be swift and final.

Stand him against the wall spread eagle. Select 12 members of the families that lost someone & give them a gun with one bullet each. Instruct them they each have one shot but cannot shoot him in the heart, stomach or the head. Limbs only, knees, feet, hands, legs etc. After all 12 shots are fired leave him there to bleed to death, the longer it takes the better.
