As a lifelong refugee from the total Catholic immersion of my youth, I was prepared to be plenty creeped out. But fuck, I'm still struggling to stop laughing. What a bunch of morons. The one idiot (his momma definitely didn't hug him enough) must have spent hours, if not days practicing that little oration. And when he finished it, there was nothing left in his empty brain but, "Satan's pretty cool". Another poster child for euthanasia. I can't wait for the sequel, "The Devil Went Down To Arkansas" Keep us posted Sly!
Are you saying these people are for real? My impression was they were actors looking for free publicity, and were practicing their memorized lines. Great costumes, can’t wait to see act 2.
If they are real, somehow that makes them less weird to me. The way they are dressed would not get them noticed in Portland. As far as their message being new and weird, almost everything I hear from the kids today is new to me. And I read far more weird stuff on this ripcitytwo site, almost everyday.
I think that statue looks pretty awesome. But the people in line, well, not so much. Hey, I get what they are trying to do, protect their rights, the separation of church and state, in a provocative way. And I think they succeeded. I don't think most of those in line actually support the Devil, but I'm sure a couple do, and they make the best interviews. But I'm quite content to be tucked away in my corner of the world and not have to deal with any of that stuff.
