Why is Ryan here? Wouldn't it be better if Rys goes 0 for 30, than to watch a known commodity that is, and always has been a Mendoza Line hitter

What the Yankees have given their fans at 2B this year has been an absolute disgrace. I get that it was hopefully meant as a one year place holder for Refsnyder but this has been ridiculous. Drew is allergic to .200. Gets to .199 and then has to back off each time. It was comical that it's like they waited with baited breath for Ryan to get healthy. Like he was some huge addition to the mix.

Just hope he doesn't turn into an Adams or Solarte, like the kids attitude but he's got to produce.

He's a solid prospect but you cannot expect miracles. He's a 22 year old kid who has to learn the major league game. He's going to have his ups and downs. Look at Trout's first 40 games when he game to the big club. He then took off the following full season. Few guys are Bryce Harper.

I'm not worried at all about Bird, Yes he's pressing of late but I've got a good feeling about this kid. I just hope he continues to get chances.

Hey Tex, was that last out you made another "bump" in the road. Now the entire team goes to the showers shaking their losing asses to that old Disco Tune 'We love the bump, Yes we love the bump"

C'mon Frank, Ryan is here for his bat, they wanted an up grade from Drew (196) & Ryan's the guy (222) Its all part of Cashman's plan.

2-5 homestand during a late Aug pennant run....just unacceptable. Gonna have to go Pasta here and put some scrutiny on Joe....he's got to go a little bit Maddon on these players and shake things up.

As a side note for major league baseball. If you want the games to go quicker how about addressing the pitchers next instead of just the hitters. If you want the batters to stay in the box then have the pitchers stay on the mound. You had the Houston reliever today walking off the mound after every pitch and going through an entire routine. This is for every pitch he throws. If I'm a batter why am I going to be made to stand there while a pitcher goes through all of this?

They haven't been good at situational hitting for a long time now. RISP over the last 5 years is most likely at the bottom of the league.
Damit you're right. I never looked at it that way Rick. Only my boy Cashman could have made that a positive...
