Why does Aminu need to be a bench player? He is just fine as our 3, having a lockdown defender is needed.
At the moment it's Mike Miller. At the trade deadline and/or next summer the 2 targets are clear. The deal of the Century uniting Durant and LeBron on the same team.
I would not sleep on Crabbe either. He has a solid all around game. It all depends who the other starters are. If they go Plumlee/Davis up front...... I go Crabbe If they go Plumlee/Leonard up front...I go Aminu
I said Crabbe because he was the backup SF last year and had some pretty good success there. I'm not seeing that anyone else is a significantly better option. Plus it allows us to develop one of our own picks. I loved the pick on draft day. Still do.
I'm down with that. Hustle player, great defense, supposed to be a great teammate. Would bring toughness. Hopefully Aminu can live up to what Olshey envisions him as.
Aminu starts at the beginning of the season. Hopefully Harkless is starting by the end of the season (for reasons unrelated to injuries).
And he's gonna KILL. I'm really high on him having a breakout season. He also has a huge chance to be MIP if he earns consistent minutes.
I totally agree. He's going to start because of his defensive prowess which we are going to need. In fact, I'd be willing to bet he's the best defender we have on the team. Btw, thanks for the awesome video, partner!
You have three reasonable choices (and no, it won't be Miller) Aminu: probably the likely starter unless he gets unseated by the other two; Crabbe: if he can be more aggressive in scoring; Harkless: if he really did improve is 3 pt shot and can bring that consistently.
He's the under the radar X factor in a lot of ways. Batum praised him as a SF and he plays better with the starting unit than he does off the bench. He'll have to beat Aminu in training camp to get the starter role but it's not beyond reason that he could do it. He's definitely got a leg up on the playbook and more chemistry with Damian going into his 3rd year here
