And that's just how it's working in Canada, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, and you know all those other countries that value getting EVERYONE an education? You talk about spending but the benefits we reaped in tax revenue from people with jobs with advanced degrees would offset that cost IMO.
Historic document. RICO laws (and its gradual extension to individuals outside of organized crime) and the Patriot Act pretty much turned that bit of the constitution into toilet paper ages ago.
i still think "hate crime" is fucking orwellian double speak. of course it was hateful, it was a fucking violent crime. dont you have to hate someone to slam their head in the concrete? if i punch a white girl in the face is it a love crime? giggity
We know where the money comes from MM. You just aren't "taxed like a mother" for it. Most of our tax dollars go to "defense".
https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/civilrights/hate_crimes/overview Defining a Hate Crime A hate crime is a traditional offense like murder, arson, or vandalism with an added element of bias. For the purposes of collecting statistics, Congress has defined a hate crime as a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.” Hate itself is not a crime—and the FBI is mindful of protecting freedom of speech and other civil liberties.
i have to call bullshit on this graph. what about non for profit hospitals that write off millions in unpaid bills? and where are the salaries for all the workers?
wouldnt a simple compromise for conservatives and liberals be to cut defense, welfare, and healthcare all at the same time?
I would argue that the higher earners in corporations and government are more likely to be involved in corruption than those in the lower levels. It's not money (or a lack thereof) that generally leads to corruption; it's power, and the opportunity to abuse it. IMO, the biggest enabler of police corruption is the unchecked power granted to even the lowest-level rookies on the police force.
Would be nice... I think that's why I want the career politicians out. They have their heads so far up people's ass, they can't ever make a decision on their own.
We are. And it's for the good of the country. There may be a few but on the whole there really is no such thing as a welfare queen. And FUCK Reagan for saying that. http://www.theatlantic.com/business...lows-up-the-myth-of-the-welfare-queen/282452/
