Ducks vs Eastern Washington, 9/5/2015, 5pm - Game Thread

Attending the games might be the first tip I'd give them.

 

I'm not an expert in any way, shape, or form, so what do you change? Different scheme? Is this just something we have to live with until the guys get more experience?

 

We will run the 3 man weave against MSU next week

 

Not picking up a 1st down because you're afraid to get injured is playing scared. If that isn't playing scared, I don't know what is.

Meaningless first down in a game that's already decided?

What I saw was limited by my son's desire to watch Star Wars again, so I can't answer all the questions. I'm only so amazing.

It looked like we were very slow to get to positions, lagged behind receivers, and had trouble stopping anyone taller than 6'0" when they ran and used a stiff arm.

Maybe Eastern Washington is just that good, though.

 

Better to get out of the Top 25 before we get delusional.

 

That's great that he feels okay, but he still might have a concussion. I guess we shall see.

 

I think he just got knocked out. He went limp.

 

Yeah, knocked out =/= concussion.

 

That evaluation is meaningless, unless you know in advance that the player is going to get hurt. If the game was totally in the bag, he wouldn't have been in there at all. Anyone could say that it's better for a star to sit a play out rather than get a major injury, but no one knows when that injury is going to happen.
