The Orioles will be glad to help the Yankees fail to make post season, Pineda needs to be spot on, would like to see the offense come up with some doubles and triples to clear the bases. That Sinatra "All or Nothing at All" offense needs to change a taste. A couple of years ago Buck told his boys that they needed to be able to beat the Yankees in Yankees Stadium. Sorry Buck, we'll hope your Orioles fail in that endeavor.

    A fairly large game.
And the Jays are at Boston - Fat Papi left yesterday's game with a muscle strain.
No more yesterdays for the Yanks, they must go forward winning ALOT of games.
Anxious to see what Pineda has...his stint on the DL could be a blessing as he probably was running low on gas and needed a blow to curtail his work load
    (seasonal IP).

Early control and command problems. Uncharacteristic.
Leadoff walks, hanging an 0-2 slider to Schoop for a 3 run HR.
    Ugh.

I see Buck skipped his best SP (Chen) vs Toronto and saved him for the Yanks.
    Cute.

Abomb #29 makes it 4-3. Good to see him heat up when needed.

this Team no doubt lives and dies by the long ball........

who would of ever expected Murph to go deep, with a man on, to take the lead..........? Not me........!

I like Murphy myself, lots of talent, young, he'll be a great successor to McCann.

Yes indeed - old pro has a plan and is still quite capable of pouncing on "his" pitch and feeding on mistakes thrown by pitchers. And he can still reach out and poke balls over the RF wall when he's looking for it.

If this Team could play 'small ball' as well as live and die by the HR, they'd be untouchable, well maybe.......

Yet, this is not an Earl Weaver (live n die by the 3 run jack), caliber team neither, IMO.......

There's ALOT of this "living by the long ball" going around.
Must be an epidemic. Baltimore is currently "living" through this game on a 3 run HR, speaking of Baltimore, they had a MGR named Weaver who liked to say the 3 run HR was his team's most important play, Toronto has already hit one today and hit THREE yesterday, Houston would probably be in 3rd place without having 185 HRs which is the 2nd highest, the "HR" turned the Mets' season around almost overnight......so...let's live it up and try to continue the party.

Nothing wrong with moving base runners up and getting a couple of singles but the franchise became known as the Bronx Bombers for a reason...but we already knew this.
